It was raining heavily the day that we arrived at Kyoto and our original room had a bit of a musty smell to it. Once we brought it up to the front desk, the manager was so helpful and accommodating and was able to move us to a different room. They even bought us a cake to apologize for the inconvenience which is service we are not typically used to in the US. Throughout our stay, the staff continued to be so helpful - to building us a custom box to fly home with a poster we bought so it didn't get bent or helping us figure out how to ship or bags to Tokyo a few days later. There is also a 711 nearby which was really helpful for food.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warmth, making us feel like cherished friends rather than just guests. Zun, Yuko, Ahn, Mei, Sei, Tengo, Nico, and Kotomi—your hospitality wove unforgettable memories. The late-night chats, shared laughter, and genuine connections felt like reuniting with family. Mimaru Kyoto Station is blessed with a team whose kindness and dedication shine brightly in a fast-paced world. They didn’t just provide a place to stay—they gifted us moments we’ll treasure forever. Room was clean and nice. The only thing was that the toilet in our room was way too far from the bathroom where a sink with soap was. But other than that everything was great.

Kamar hotel sangat nyaman untuk 5 orang per kamar. Lokasi sangat dekat dengan stasiun Kyoto maupun pemberhentian bus, sehingga kami cukup berjalan kaki sebentar. Seluruh staff hotel sangat ramah & profesional, bahkan bersedia membantu kami menerima titipan 5 koper besar pada jam 06.00 pagi meskipun jam check-in ditentukan jam 15.00 sore, bahkan sudah membawa masuk koper-koper tersebut ke dalam kamar saat kami check in tanpa kami minta sebelumnya. Sangat recommended, 10 bintang untuk Mimaru Hotel Kyoto Station.

I stayed with our family of four (two teenagers) and there was more than enough space for all of us. There was a bunk bed and two twin beds, but you could also set up the kitchen couch as a bed too. The location is perfect. It’s right across the street from Kyoto station and it was easy to get to places in Kyoto as well as day trips to Nara, Uji and Lake Biwa. We were able to walk (about 20 minutes) to some of the major sights as well. There are 7/11s on both sides, so we picked up coffee and snacks from there. The front desk helped us deal with a dental situation and was amazingly helpful. They saved the trip!

Excellent hotel. The staff were very helpful with reserving restaurants and karaoke. The also made good suggestions and we ate the best meals at good prices with their help. The room is convenient for a family with two children. I wish that the room had Netflix smart tv. I also wish that there was more privacy between the kids and adults. Fantastic staff. Very useful.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. They really made our stay a fantastic experience. We enjoyed the room and found the beds very comfortable. Easy access to the train station made commuting around the town easy. Would happily stay there again if in Kyoto.

Across the street from Kyoto Station, konbini next door, staff was excellent, our family loved the two bedroom suite and being able to watch the Shinkansen arrive and depart
