It was a decent hotel. I room was fine and everything. Staff very helpful. But one major problem they had is the smell in the lobby. The smoke room was attached to the lobby. So everytime I entered the building it smelled awful of smoke. And to me, the smell of smoke in a hotel is a big problem. It made it very unwelcoming and it was impossible to ignore. Other than that it was a decent hotel.

the hotel was old and has a weird smell inside my room. the hotel is outdated but it’s fine because the stay was cheap. The onsen has limited space for showering, we have to wait for a while until it’s our turn. The outside bath has led tv which was great but when i went on the side, there are molds that combines with the water so i immediately got out and return to the normal bath.

Room and restroom smells like cigarettes, shower water is likely shared with out rooms so it constantly goes super hot and super cold. It made my stay in Sapporo horrible. Would not recommend unless youre a smoker and are fine with smelling it every second youre in your room.

Breakfast has good local options only, I asked for a simple fried egg and it’s simply denied! The staff told me e we have raw egg and boiled egg only😑 Check in staff speak so limited English they routinely use translation applications to communicate. The room itself was will aged with obvious rusty points, as well as the furniture and amenities, including the elevator! Breakfast area was renovated and looked nice, no service though! As mentioned, they didn’t even provide a simple fried egg!

We stayed in two different rooms and they were both clean and spacious for a Japanese hotel. The staff are all very courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet is amazing- the menu stays the same but there is enough variety. The hot springs are the best feature of this hotel; yes you have to get to the basement floor then take off your shoes/slippers, go up on an elevator again to get to them, but it’s definitely worth it. I only wish that the rooms had a temperature control panel as it can get a little warm and all you have is an airflow control, but the front desk brought us a fan which helped. My only complaint as a non-smoker is that the smoking room is in the corner of the lobby, right next to the laundry room. The smoking room is closed off, but you can definitely smell it, sometimes even in the lobby area and is a bit unpleasant.
