Food was delicious. Can hear footsteps from other rooms. Beware of insects in the in room outdoor onsen. Enjoyed our stay.

It was a great opportunity to enjoy the traditional Japanese hot springs and food. I was very satisfied with the friendly service and the nature-friendly hot springs. I would like to come again. The price was a little expensive, but it was a satisfactory stay. Thank you.

Great, large room with private onsen. The private onsen was so nice to have. I would DEFINITELY recommend getting a room with one. Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff. Delicious kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff, service, facilities and food were amazing!

老板为我们升级了房间还送了礼物，有一位张小姐会说普通话而且人很热心。食物很赞，我们的房间在二楼带私人汤，但是没怎么用，共用的汤池跟更美更舒服。

We stayed at Yamadaya for 2 nights, and our experience there was absolutely fantastic. The environment, service, amenities and food were perfect. There are a total of 14 rooms across 2 floors at Yamadaya. Our room was located on the 2nd floor with a great view of Mt. Yufu. Basic amenities are included in the room (tv, wifi, plug point, towels, toothbrush, razor, shower cap, face wash, moisturiser, etc). Toilet seats are heated and have bidets. Other than that, there's a green tea set you can use, hot and cold water to drink, and also Yukata and pyjamas to wear during your stay there. There are 4 onsens at Yamadaya, 2 private and 2 public (indoor and outdoor). As long as nobody is using the private onsen, anyone can use it. Toiletries are of high quality as well (Shisheido brand). I highly recommend the outdoor onsen by the garden as it is really beautiful. Food was very delicious. Ingredients were fresh and prepared with care. Both nights we were served with a variety of food. The highlight was definitely the beef. I would recommend to have a light lunch as the dinner portion is really huge and you will be stuffed! Lastly, the staffs there are really polite and friendly. They'll go the extra mile to make your stay there as enjoyable as possible.

Great staff, hot spring and food!

The hotel is beautiful, nice and quiet. We stayed in a room with private onsen which was very enjoyable. They have some family onsen and public onsen available as well. Dinner was very tasty, the only complain is too much food and serving too quickly. Overall, very pleasant stay and staff are very friendly.

Staff could speak English or Mandarin. Nice and peaceful enviroment. Love the private hotspring in room.

Short walk from the station / bus terminal. Private hot spring was great! But it's not so private since it's an open air bath and you can hear people next door talking loud. The food was ok but not fantastic. It has few other public hot springs you can use so you get to experience bit of everything. It was rainning on the day we check out and the front desk kindly provided us with ponchos! It was great experience overall.

숙소도 깨끗하고 좋았고 방에 딸린 온천도 좋았습니다 저녁 가이세키요리도 맛있게 먹었고 조식도 맛있었습니다 직원분들 머두 친절하셔서 잘 먹고 잘 쉬다 왔습니다 같이 가신 엄마도 너무 좋아하셨어요

유후인 료칸 중 가격과 서비스 면에서 최상위급이라 할 수 있지만, 코로나 이전의 서비스와 이후의 서비스 차이가 너무 많이 난다.

두번째 유후인 료칸 방문으로 선택한 곳입니다. 조식 석식 모두 맛있었고 배불리 잘 먹었습니다. 개인노천탕과 대중탕 가족탕 2박동안 이용했는데 저 혼자서 개인전세탕처럼 사용했네요. 청결했고 고즈넉하니 아주 만족했답니다. 다음에 또 방문하고 싶습니다.

The hotel is located in the street but close to 湯の坪街道 and it is easy to miss it if you drive as it looks like residents. Although the hotel is small but the decor inside is traditional. Room with private onsen which is good.
