Tokyo Plaza Hotel

Excellent location, lots of shops, restaurants, near a train station. There are stairs to enter the hotel and no elevator so be warned. Room & hotel are clean. There is a dining area that can be used with free coffee & tea. We ate our 7/11 breakfast there.

close to Shin Okubo Station, lots of small restaurant, next to DonQ & supermarket but there’s no elevator from the ground floor to the 2nd floor, you have to cary your 50 lbs luggage !

Stayed for 10 days and glad we found this place. We aren’t familiar with Tokyo but we would like to be close to the city and walking distance with some areas that we like to visit and this place was perfect. Its an old building but its well maintained. Clean and they gave you fresh towels everyday, and clean the rooms whenever you asks for it. The room was enough for my husband and I. We love the place, and would be coming back the next time we will visit Tokyo.

Close to the train station and allow to store the luggage before the check-in and after the check-out. The only drawback is the evaluator only to the 2nd level but not the ground level. Have to carry the heavy luggage to the 2nd floor.

It’s a few steps away from a Metro station. There are plenty of stores and restaurants around.

Great location and really appreciated being able to leave our luggage safely at the hotel till we left Tokyo, mid afternoon, well after check out.

The hotel is quite old. There is a flight of stairs from the hotel entrance to the lobby. Guests must carry their luggage up the stairs because there are no elevators or escalators from the entrance to the lobby. Beware if you have heavy luggage. There is a strong damp and moldy smell when I enter the room, especially in the closet area. I suppose this is because sunlight does not reach that area of the room and the hotel is old. Other than this, the hotel is ok.

Very good location! Clean. Pillows are not comfortable. Good for short stay.

The basic room is a decent enough size that you dont feel like you are in a closet

We stayed here for one night before flying out of Tokyo. Great location, and the front desk people were super cool with holding a lot of our luggage for the entire next day. Room was comfortable and relatively spacious. Thanks!

Good location, close to JR, restaurants and shops.

This is a great property for exploring the surrounding neighborhoods of Shinjuku, Harajuku, and even Shibuya. Shin-okubo station is just 2 blocks away and a Don Quijote is literally next door. The property itself is in decent condition with a single elevator and adequate amenities. It's fairly clean overall but you'll find some dust in areas if you're on the tall side. We were on an upper floor with nice city views but no ability to open the window. Note that the main entrance is on the 2nd floor and so you'll need to lug yourself and your luggage there before being able to access the elevator. The room had neither a safe nor a microwave, but did have a fridge and even a room/fabric freshener. The water pressure was mediocre as is the internet speed - fine for browsing but with relatively high ping if you're e-gaming. Despite the nitpicks, the place is a great value for the price in a really convenient location if all you're looking for is a place to put your bags and sleep.

This is a great place to stay for location; the space is clean, but the beds were quite uncomfortable. Very stiff mattresses with flat pillows. However, the location near Shin-Okubo station is very convenient.
