The windows have double glazing and extra layer of sun glass screen. It was really hot and stuffy in the room, AC worked pretty bad. We had to open the room door to get fresh air.

IBIS reputation is well known. This hotel sits in the center of town.

excellent hotel on edge or city centre.. excellent professional welcoming staff who did their very best to facilitate guests. Good room with nice view of downtown. breakfast was superb.. great variety of hot an cold food.. good location but 15mins walk to city centre (for those who love walking this is a really nice walk over the river past some great palaces and buildings).

I stayed at Ibis Astana for only one day, and I had a pleasant stay. First of all, the rate was low(I booked online). When I arrived, the two receptionists who were present spoke English, and they were very professional. My room was very clean; however, although the bathroom was clean, there was a bad unpleasant smell. Because it was not strong, I didn't feel the need to complain. The bed was quite comfortable. My main issue was the long wait for the taxi when the receptionist called it for me. Overall, my stay was good, and I will definitely be back.

I stayed in the hotel for second time and was planning to have a corporate meeting at the hotel. But I changed my mind after the recent stay. There was not soap at all in my bathroom. My colleague asked the staff to change the linen because it was obviously used by previous guest.
I've been in the Ibis hotels before in Germany and would never expect so bad service.

I am very pleased with this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to some tourist attractions or short taxi ride away. Buffet breakfast was a bit pricey as food was very basic.
