Hotel staff was very helpful. Nice location of the hotel. Can easily walk around.

Staff is top notch. Liza deserves a raise! Amenities are fine, but the razor is ridiculously low quality; Better to not have it. Great mattresses and linens.

Unique & fully of heritage design, friendly staff

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, they will also suggesting the spots which worth for visiting, and the room and very clean and comfortable. Definitely worth your penny 👍

To be honest, I hesitated giving 4 star, as it's a very basic hotel, no amenities, no lift (if u carry heavy luggage, good luck) or fancy facilities. Plus the person that checked me in gave me a room that was going to undergo a 3-day renovation (with drilling!) in the next few days, without telling me. Hey, I was going to stay there for 7 days! The room he gave me was smaller than what I saw in the pics (narrow walkway between bed and TV wall, plus queen bed only) and I was really upset when the drilling happened. And he was neither smiley, friendly, nor helpful. I wonder why was he even in hospitality line. Thankfully, Sai, another staff whom I reached out to, gave me superb service recovery. He switched me to another room away from the renovation, and was also sized similar to most pictures I'd seen (decent space between King bed and TV wall). It's because of him and this service recovery that made me finally decided to give 4 star from my initial intent of only 1 star! It could have been 3, perhaps. I would say I'll be kind and round it up to 4 just because of Sai. But personally, I probably wouldn't book this hotel again. Will give some other places a try.

Have a good stay at Macalister Terrace Hotel. Convenient location, lot of great amenities.

1st time staying at this hotel. Strictly check-in time at 3pm. Aircon in the room No16 not cold. Parking space available for 9 car only. Walking distance about 300m to Komtar/Plaza Perangin & 1st Avenue. About 700m walk to Chowrasta Market

Car blocking didn't leave contact numbers causing us delays departure as Reception didn't help, till i started knocking on every rooms!

The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful and I would give 5 stars to them. The aircon was not cold enough even after setting 16C and strongest blower. A single card was provided so the electricity would cutoff when we left the room. Location was ok

Location excellent for walking around and exploring. Room was huge and lovely - only problem is the rather steep stairs up to the room if you choose a twin bed room. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel in centre of Penang.

Pleasant stay at this charming heritage hotel. Like the cleaniness, friendly staff and decor of this heritage hotel. Location is good for exploring Georgetown’s street food scene. A small minus is hotel has no lift. So ask for ground floor room if you have heavy luggage.

Basic amenities provided. Room and bed comfy.
