Beach Garden Hotel

Read a lot of views about rude staff and this was not the case. I feel that staff are being rude to and that when you are respectful you are treated accordingly. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready even by 2pm but by 2.30pm we was assigned another room that was bigger due to the wait. Cleaning staff and reception staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but clean a few things need doing such as a stiff shower door or a little bit of a leak from the air con but no major issues. In good location and wasn’t too loud considering it’s a busy area. Bus route to the main areas and airport was only 2-3euro only issue is the tv, small and not smart so couldn’t log into our Netflix and channels are mainly news or in German and no kettle in room with tea or coffee, can get one and a iron from reception for a deposit which you will get back when you return them.

I stayed at this hotel from the 8th September to 17th September 2025 with my sister. We didn’t realise it was going to be on the busy strip, however that didn’t bother us as we was there for an event. I really liked the area, as we was local to the shopping centre and local restaurants. We also got to explore the area and we felt really safe during our trip. I really like our hotel, our room was spacious. It had enough space for all our belongings and only critique I would have is there was no mini fridge which I do like to have in my hotel room when I’m travelling. In some parts of the hotel, it could be refurbished and redecorated however, overall it’s a really decent hotel for the price we paid, I would recommend this hotel only if you are going to an event as there isn’t much facilities in the hotel for you to do.

You pay for what you get, cheaper so expect bare minimum. The managers of the hotel were nice and helpful. This is a very noisy hotel. We initially had a room right at the front of the hotel. It feels like you are sleeping on the street, the noise comes straight in. You hear the road and the music. That night we didn’t get any sleep. We thankfully were moved to the back of the hotel which was much better but you do have groups of people coming back at all hours. Got woken up every night at least twice due to the walls being thin. This hotel is right in the party district, wouldn’t recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing environment. The rooms them selves were fine, beds comfy, clean. The bathrooms do have mould and there is a bit of drain smell. The pool is also fine, standard but can get busy. The beach is nice and a close walk. Lots of restaurants around. If you are looking for cheaper party accommodation this is the place but if you want a family holiday / calmer holiday, not the location.

People of the hotel are not kind. the pool opens at 10 and closes at 18. Why? because of the noise? This place is known for Heavy parties ( Bay street / Paceville) But i cannot swim at 19.00 strange.

Really basic standards. Not the cleanest hotel. The walls need replastering and painting. The wardrobe was broken and it was not secured to the wall so everytime we opened the doors the entire wardrobe tipped forward to fall over. No safe inside the room or tea/coffee facilities.

The price was good for the location!

The staff made the stay even better! They were excellent, from cleaners, receptionist and restaurant staff all lovely and made the stay so much better. The hotel was a little run down and the water pressure in my room was terrible but other than that I enjoyed my stay.

The premises were unsafe, with visible drug activity and loitering on the property. There were ongoing disturbances from other guests (screaming and banging), which staff did nothing to control, despite being notified. The bed had a plywood base, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. These conditions are unacceptable and fall far below the standard promised and reasonably expected. I ask for a full refund due to these breaches of safety, comfort, and service.

Room was very basic. No kettle or cups/ glasses, no TV, dribble of shower, no shelving in bathroom, no hot water first night. Think a basic club 18-30 hostel. Room opposite all the bars playing very loud music till 4am. Then it's partied on the beach till 6am. Our earplugs have been a godsend. Breakfast - Was embarrassingly bad. Just eat elsewhere. Staff were okay, beer was nice as were snacks in bar area. Bar and pool area open to the public and full of beer boys and stag dos. Constant football playing. Pool area gritty and

The grounds were acruffy, tv didnt work, was clean but basic, pool empty and overall tired and scruffy.

Staff are brilliant and helpful! I have stayed here many times and personally I like it, I met other guests who did not. You have to take into account the price and the location, it’s located by the Bars and Clubs so if you are in Malta for the Nightlife then it’s a good choice! There is a bus stop near by to go to Sliema and Valletta. It has a pool. There is No Lift in the part that has a sea view and unfortunately there is no gym and I like to lift some hand weights. It’s nice that they have an outdoor hotel bar

Basic few faults but great location

Worst hotel on the island! Rude staff, dirty hotel and lot of noise! I asked for pillows and a blanket,they told me tomorrow when the day after I had check out! Don't go there!

Close to bars

The hotel is very old,it should be closed,the walls look horrible,I stayed only 2 nights and I changed the hotel.The good part is the pool that is big and clean and the location of the hotel (1 minutes to the beach and shops)

Not worth a stay

The property was clean and the reception was very helpful in information dissemination and with your support suggestions

Property was absolutely shocking it’s like sleeping in a garage bathroom was not fitted correctly was a lash up socket with wires hanging out ceiling pealing in both bathroom and above the bed very dirty

Staff were friendly and helpful but room was run down and part of the ceiling was crumbling and fell off in the night. Room was loud and could hear other rooms upstairs and next door clearly

Friendly hard working staff , very clean . Breakfast is your average continental A fridge would be an asset in this hotel The location is excellent if you like night life , geared to the youth …. Very noisy area
