Mulberry Suites

We loved it!! Our luggage was lost by the airlines and the hotel personnel went above and beyond to help us!! The hotel was clean. The room was very comfortable and the service was A++.

A great place in the centre of Valletta. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast until 10:30 was ideal so we didn't feel rushed. Fabulous shower with shower gel and shampoo dispensers was much better than little sachets. A Nespresso coffee machine in our room was a real bonus. The hoel staff, especially the receptionist were so friendly and helpful. Only one little negative was the bathroom was only partitioned so no privacy. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week here

Clean rooms. Courteous staff. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning could not be set below 23 degrees, which made sleeping at night most uncomfortable.

Everything fine except an issue with the door code was difficult to use. As you press each number you should hear a faint noise to confirm it has registered but there was always some traffic noise which made it difficult to hear. As we arrived after reception closed (4pm from memory) we just couldn’t get in but luckily another guest was coming out so we could get in. A couple of days later we returned the favour to another couple so it wasn’t just us. The only other issue was the lack of a hairdryer in the room. It wasn’t made clear that we could get one from reception for our stay on leaving a deposit. But otherwise fine and the location was perfect for a city break.

This charming converted palazzo is in an ideal location. it was very clean and well cared for. We had a street facing room with a galleria which was delightful, although it would have been even better if there was a table and chairs to sit out there. We were a little disappointed that the roof terrace was not useabe due to maintenance (October).

Ideally located boutique hotel for exploring Valletta and beyond. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast is basic, but will set you up for the day. Comfortable bed, clean room. Only slight complaints would be very low hot water temperature and the air con smelled like it could do with a service.

They asked me for feedback so unfortunately I will be honest. On my first morning, I had a male housekeeping person open my door (they may have knocked but not loud enough for me to hear) when I was on the toilet, and they did not immediately close the door and looked at me through the door. As a woman travelling alone, this was unnerving and I felt concerned the rest of the trip that it would happen again so kept the do not disturb sign on at all times for my whole trip after this. I dropped an earring under my bed at one point and struggled for a while to get it out with a coat hanger. When I got it out, it was absolutely disgusting from how dirty it was under the bed. It didn’t seem like it had ever been cleaned. Also there was no mattress or pillow protectors under very thin sheets, and they give you blankets over a single thickness sheet as a duvet and the blankets were covered in blonde hairs. I have almost black hair. I asked for a replacement on the first morning as it made me feel icky when I was trying to sleep, but the replacement also had loads of hairs on. I just tried not to touch them going forward. The towels also had other peoples hair on. Also the walls were paper thin and I could literally hear someone snoring in the next room. I hate to think what else I may have heard if the room had been occupied more than 1 night and if I’d come back earlier.

Wonderfully helpful staff, lovely to have free water and coffee throughout the day, well appointed kitchenette and the enjoyment of sitting in the verandah to watch the life going on below.

Stayed one night to catch early flights home the next day. Centrally located on the heart of Valletta allowed us to enjoy walking the city in the evening before travelling home. Basic breakfast provided was great to get us started for the day.

The room, location was great. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. As with all of Europe, the AC will always be slightly warmer then you might be used to if your travelling from America. i enjoyed my stay

Last on reception went above and beyond during our stay , had only been in her position for a few weeks …. Nothing was too much trouble We stayed in them apartment which is located right next door to the suites , on entering is a stone stair case which is difficult when carrying heavy cases . Appartment is spacious and has every amenity needed. Cleaned everyday Breakfast was lovely and plentiful , can get busy early on and only a few tables but we aimed for 9.30-10 and was always ok and still plenty of food left …. Staff are cleaning and re stocking throughout the breakfast times…. Fab location , plenty of shops and restaurants/ cafes in walking distance and a Spa supermarket round the corner .

Brilliant room service and staff

Beautiful old building, well preserved, hotel maybe only be 2 star but has 6 star staff, a fair, useful and informative review.: (We stayed in N33, 4 nights.) -zero sound proofing. -small dining-breakfast area. -can be noisy, due to traffic and local authorities (out of hotel control) + clean, well maintained. + reliable information, main door code, contact number, if needed. + reliable good wifi. + 24 hr access to water in reception. + good continental breakfast options. + location is selling point, very close to all amenities, attractions. + special thanks to brilliant, flawless and friendly Ruby, breakfast lady, and reception Schion.

Nice breakfast every morning and our room had a washer! Friendly staff also.

Lovely small boutique hotel, very close to all amenities. Staff were lovely, arranged our airport shuttle and were more than helpful. The hotel was very clean, breakfast good. One very small gripe, the shower in our room got water all over the floor, it was quite slippery, plus it ran down the step into the bedroom. However enjoyed the hotel and will stay there again.

Out-of hours check-in (reception desk not staffed 24h) worked fine. Hotel was clean, modern, and fit for purpose (albeit I was allocated the "accessible" room which had a 'wet room' bathroom but floor tiling did not slope enough to drain water away so there was a large squeegee to dry the floor after showering!) Breakfast was adequate.

Mulberry Suites was a great option for our stay in Valletta. Good value for money compared to other hotels in the same area and a perfect location for Valletta harbour, town centre and all the shops and restaurants you could want. Our room was clean, spacious and the aircon was a very nice escape from the heat outside. The street is lovely and quiet at night too. Breakfast was basic continental but was perfectly fine for us. A nice touch that you have a 24hr coffee machine and water cooler available too. It's not fancy but is in a beautiful building, with nice décor touches and offers everything you need for a short stay.
