Beautiful little hotel on the way to Palenque archaeological site. The bungalow was spacious, the shower was good (plenty of hot water and normal pressure in the shower). 50-60 pesos away from Palenque town if you want to dine there as restaurant of the hotel is a bit limited.

Great hotel about 15 minutes from Palenque Archeological site. Front desk has a contract with a Mexican tour company and will set you up to go to any nearby destinations for a fairly cheap price. Water was warm, rooms and bathrooms were very clean. 10/10 would book again.

This property is a great value. The pool is great. The location is great. We were there when it was very, very hot, so I can understand why the staff were a little disinterested in working. The rooms are really nice with the balcony. Unfortunately because the property is not as well cared for as it may have once been, there are several openings where the cockroaches sneak in. That was I’m only complaint.

Friendly and helpful reception, cute rooms with nice gardens. The pool needed improving though, like the addition of some sun bathing, deck chairs not just plastic garden chairs plus plants need abit more looking after in that area. As well as the pond topping up with some more water.

Location: off the road to Palenque ruins. Car a must have, or taxi. Great pool, poll side restaurant and bar, property located in the middle of the jungle so humidity an issue to be expected. TV, AC, WC did not work but issues were solved reaaaally fast.

My husband & I stayed for 6 nights while visiting the ruins & all the INCREDIBLE waterfalls & we enjoyed the property very much! Check in was a delight! The young man was very sweet & chatted with us for some time. (I prepaid which made check in even easier) I recommend an upstairs room with a balcony & table with chairs. So nice to relax in the jungle setting after playing around all day. In addition, the king bed was sooooo comfortable & room service came everyday to make up the room. My only issue was the bathroom. It’s definitely in need of a remodel but the hot water was hot & the pressure great. I read the reviews about the staff. I’m on the fence about that issue. In the restaurant they definitely don’t jump up quickly or acknowledge you right away & sometimes I had to grab a menu myself, but hey, you’re in Mexico, nobody’s in a hurry & I like that! & the chilaquiles were delicious!! One more thing I’d like to mention. They are doing their part in reducing the use of plastic bottles! There is a pitcher in the room & they will fill it with water anytime. Bravo Axkan!!! We had a lovely time & really enjoyed the beautiful grounds & palapa style surroundings. Thank you!

We loved our stay here. We slept in many different hotels all over the Yucatán and the bed was so comfy here. We could hear the howler monkeys and roosters in the morning. The hotel is off the main road but signs will easily lead you there where friendly staff is awaiting your arrival.

When we arrived to this hotel we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful outdoor spaces and the friendly staff. After a little snafu with our room (first they told us they could not accommodate us with 1 queen bed as requested b/c the room needed to be fumigated. This was fine and we were given a room with 2 full beds instead). When we got to our room, we found it was being used for storage, and full of blankets and covers.) we went back to reception, where we were moved to another room in a different cabana. Although we were no longer next door to our companion, this was alright because we were just across the way. The pool was refreshing after a long hot day of travel in the jungle. We had no hot water (In the evening this was refreshing. The following morning, however, it was dreadful). Our AC did was difficult to control because the remote didn't seem to communicate well with the unit. But overall the room stayed pleasantly cool for the night. We purchased a package with included breakfast, and learned that this meant we had included the "Desayuno Americano" (American breakfast) plate. (An item on the menu which included orange juice or fruit, eggs any style, toast or pan dulce, and coffee.) I cannot eat eggs, and do not drink coffee so it was disappointing that they would not make any substitutions, or offer me OJ with my fruit and toast, & made me purchase my own bottle of water even tho I was not consuming half of the items included in my purchased package.
