Hotel Playa Encantada

Short walk to the beach, and close enough to the 5th Avenue buzz.

Clean room, friendly stuff, short walk to the beach. Breakfast was not at the hotel. We were not able to fully use it due to excursions we booked (breakfast starts at 7:30am). Beside that it was nice place to stay.

Front desk performance. Housekeeping irregularities, costly breakfast considering what you get.

My overall stay at Playa Encantada Hotel was decent, and I enjoyed the location, it is right next to the ADO bus terminal. However, I was slightly disappointed with some aspects of the service. One issue was that the hotel provided only cold or room-temperature water for showers, despite it being advertised otherwise. This meant I had to deal with cold showers every day, which was uncomfortable, especially during cooler evenings. Additionally, the water flow was not strong, which made showering take longer. When I asked for a cup or glass to use with the water dispenser, I was told none were provided, so I had to bring my own. Moreover, when I requested repairs for the cold water and other amenities, I often felt like I was asking for favors rather than receiving standard service, even though I was paying for it. It also took more than half a day/next day to get basic necessities like toilet paper, clean towels and shampoos, as the front desk couldn’t help and I had to wait for the cleaning staff to provide them. Overall, while the experience wasn’t terrible, these issues, along with a lack of transparency about what was offered, did impact my comfort during my stay.

The hotel is in a great location and covers all the basics for an ok stay. However there were a few things that could be improved. We saw many cockroaches and bugs on the counter, the coach had stains that looked super gross and the internet didn’t work over half of our stay . We spent most of the day out so it made it better for us however we wouldn’t stay here again .

I will recommended this hotel. Close everything and easy to move to other city. The staff was always helping. Clean and the pool was very nice, specially for the family.

The bus station from the airport only goes to the one on 5th avenue going back to the airport it's the one very close. The room was ok but only air conditioning in the bedroom if you have the suite. Our tv had to be changed as it didn't work. The pressure in the shower ok for Mexico but not great we had hot water. Didn't see any bugs... getting in the elevator is like walking in to an oven. Overall it was ok. Location good as it's quiet.

We stay here frequently as it is beside the bus depot (alterna). Rooms are big. There is acoffee maker and pack of coffee in room but no water, creamer, or sugar. The shower head has at least half the holes blocked and this is common in México. The a/c is mounted over the bed so the cold air falls rapidly onto your feet. Your upper body will be comfortable, but your feet will be freezing. Best take a blanket for them. Coffee in the lobby in the am. Fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice on the corner in front. Othe corner towards the squarehas good tacos. Try the taco's camarones.

Very good location, close to downtown without the noise. Lovely older pool.

Love the location. Only issue was free coffee from 7 to 11 a. Only happened when we showed up at nine and had them make a very small pot. 2 cups at a time in the back room.

Convenient location, a block away from the Ado alterna station. Attentive staff, room was spacious and clean. Would stay there again.
