What Guests Say About Their Stay

We were recommended to this hotel by a friend who has stayed here before. It’s a special boutique house with traditional Moroccan architecture features, away from the chaos in downtown Marrakesh. We loved our room with a private pool - it was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. If you want to go into the old town Médina, it’s about 25 mins drive and the hotel has free shuttle bus at 10am and 6pm. Definitely a place to come back if we visit Marrakesh again.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were multi-lingual which made it easy to communicate. They were willing to help us set up a camel trek, shuttle us daily into the marketplace in the centre of Marrakesh and give us advice on how to handle ourselves when haggling for things in the market. We were even shuttled to a Moroccan Fantasy show one evening, which displayed the legend and folklore of this enchanted place through music and equestrian expertise. On Wednesday we explored the local village's weekly souk. This was an amazing experience, but we would not have done it without the escort of a staff member from the hotel. They made it a wonderful and exciting experience for us. (A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALI the hotel manager!) The hotel was clean and beautiful. Every evening the pool was lit by candle light. The gardens were beautiful both in the night and the day! The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a private suite with a private pool (room number 1) and I highly recommend it if you are able to secure that particular room. It was worth every penny! We have already recommended this hotel to our friends, including a random stranger on the plane on our return trip. If you choose this hotel, you will not be sorry. Do be aware of the difficulty in driving back to the hotel if you are renting a car. The roads are really rough dirt roads. I would recommend using the hotel shuttle service for everything. Free shuttle to the market, low cost otherwise.

The positioning of the Hotel isn't fantastic, but to be honest once you enter the front door there is very little reason to leave the Hotel, they have everything you need there and the whole ambiance and overwhelmingly friendly staff means that you don't want to go anywhere else. The reason I went to Marrakesh was to relax after a very exhausting year and that is exactly what I did, from relaxing by the pool or in the gardens, to some of the best massages I have ever had, after just one week I was completely relaxed Mohammed the Operations Director could not do enough to help me during my stay, he arranged Mountain Bikes to be delivered to the Hotel, trips to the Atlas Mountains including a guide, bookings in some of the best restaurants, nothing was too much trouble

A lovely retreat. A great place to center yourself. I absolutely enjoyed my stay. Only one piece of advice to those considering this hotel. If you are planning to take advantage of spa treatments, I would call them in advance to make sure the spa will be open during your stay. I found that the hours were not always consistent with several hotels in Morocco. Enjoy!!

Extremely disappointing Motel, not sure how they manage to get stars for this dump. For one you have to drive on an extremely bad dirt road. You have to cross the village's streets with open sewers into the middle of those streets. The motel is on the edge of a cliff with a dirt parking space in front of the Motel that fits 4 or 5 vehicles. The motel inside is extremely dusty and not well maintained. The room were rather furnaces. Although equipped with A/C, the A/C was very inefficient because the Windows and doors as well as their frames were not air tight and the AC units were small for the space they were supposed to cool off. The beds and the mattresses were of an extremely poor quality. They still use the spring mattresses and the spring beds of 1970's. Forget about a restful night for many reasons: too hot to sleep, bad mattress and bed, and when finally you started getting a wink at 4:00 am, the call for payer over a blaring old speaker will for sure spring you out of bed. The facility is designed to imulate an ancient village Riad, however they seem to have confused antiques for junk. Many items such as tables, doors and windows are an absolute junk, but they try to pass them for antique. The breakfast was very generous if you don't mind the hoards of flies that you know for sure they had their previous meals from the street's sewers.

The hotel is fantastic, but the neighbourhood is not very nice. It is very difficult to find the hotel and at the end we ended up renting a car in order to drive into Marrakech. There is a bus service that is offered but we preferred to not depend on the bus schedule. We really enjoyed our stay and hope that the hotel will be able to have the road paved and better signs put up.
