I had a great experience with Riad Roummana, the room was very clean and well designed with good quality towels and bedding. Location is super convenient, right near the main square and in the souk. I didn’t have any trouble finding it myself when I was checking in but I recommend arranging someone with a luggage cart to come meet you if you have more than one bag since it can be hard going through the souk with heavy luggage. Breakfast was amazing, better than the other riads I stayed at in Marrakech, they also switch it up a bit so it’s not the exact same thing every day. All this is enough for me to give 5 stars, especially considering the great value of the price. However if management would like to find ways to improve here are some suggestions. Add a pamphlet in each room with information like when breakfast is, details on housekeeping and other services the riad offers. This is an easy way to make sure guests have all the info they need in case reception doesn’t mention everything. Offer a complimentary water bottle in the room: when I first arrived I was very thirsty from the heat but was told I would have to go to a near shop and purchase water. Install a bidet in the washrooms: I was surprised that there wasn’t a bidet or at least a lota in the washroom since it’s a Muslim country, this would be a very helpful addition. Overall highly recommend this riad, it will be even better once the terrace renovations are completed too.

Pros: Mohammed is great. Helpful. Patient. Kind Cons: I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAY IN THE MEDINA or in a RIAD near the Medina. Taxis cannot drop you off or pick you up so you are left to walk part of the way to your accommodation. This area is extremely crowded and you will absolutely be hassled countless times. Anyone offering to help you will expect a tip. There is no street signs and it is a bit overwhelming even with having cellular service. This hotel needs to really have some kind of WhatsApp communication to help customers. As there can be up to 5 different riads on the same street. Personally it was too chaotic for me. The room itself is below average. Small but generally clean. Gives a motel 6 vibe. Ok bed. No amenities. No tv. Does have AC. It’s not modern enough for my taste. I would not stay again. I also highly advise anyone thinking they want to stay in the Medina to reconsider.

Excellent riad hotel right at the heart of the centre of Marrakesh. You are literally steps from the main square and all amenities. Great for transport from/to most places including airport. Very well priced for a short stay with everything you need. Will definitely book again.

Overall very convenient location for first time travellers. Just 2 mins from the jemaa el fnaa, lots local food places around the Riad, easy to find food to eat or buying bottled water. Our room was comfortable, the housekeep lady was very nice and cleaned our room everyday and gave us fresh towel daily too. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. They are some renovation going on on the 3-4th floor area, if you like to sleep in, you may hear the noises. Breakfast was on the rooftop, peaceful and quiet. This road has no laundry service, I suggest to update on Expedia. There’s a local laundry mart 2-3 mins away can wash and dry clothes for 4 dhs per piece, not bad price.

My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooftop terrace provided a great view of the sunrise at breakfast. Out of 9 days in Morocco this Riad had the best breakfast. The location was very central and allowed us to see much of Marrakesh right outside the door. We will definitely recommend this to our fiends that come this was form the USA.

This riad was ideally situated so near to the Djmaa el Fna but quite quiet. The staff work really hard to make you enjoy your stay - the ladies doing the breakfasts and the cleaning are cheerful and smiley and the guys at reception are all brilliant - really friendly and kind. Yassine is funny and chatty! Breakfast is served quickly and is very substantial. The rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable beds. We would definitely recommend this place!

We only stayed for 1 night but it was a reasonable stay. The rooms are quite small but for 1 night this was okay, and beds were comfy. Main issue was it was very noisy, granted some of that was due to other guests but also as we were right by front door and a door that was quite noisy to close and hinges that creeked a lot. The water pressure wasnt great, but again only 1 night. The staff were very helpful and friendly and met us from the airport shuttle as cant drive to door of property. They also held our bags for a couple of hours when we checked out. I would suggest for breakfast checking with guests first what they might want. I felt bad at the amount they had prepared but I couldnt eat some of it (they just serve you at a table...no choice/buffet). But what I did eat was good.
