Dormio Resort Maastricht

POSITIVE : kitchen fully equipped, big fridge, comfy bed/pillows, good shower pressure and size, separate light in shower cubicle. NEGATIVE : we were given a room with a faulty toilet that splashed after every flush. After wiping up the mess on the seat and floor, we quickly used up the ONE roll of toilet paper we had for our TWO night stay. I went to reception to inform of this. I was told that this issue was recorded on the computer. When I said “and yet you still put us in a room with this issue?” She blatantly just said “yes” and gave me another roll of toilet paper, a tea towel and small towel to dry the toilet each time. Stunned, I went back to the room. By the time I decided to complain, it was too late to talk to management. The next morning I went to make a complaint and got a room without an issue. No offer of discount for first night. More negatives - towels were a shade of dirty white and smallest ever had. There was no hair dryer. Couch was hard as a rock. We had to take the rubbish out ourselves, to the other side of the car park, or else! Really???? We had to do the dishes, or else! This place is called a RESORT! I don’t think so! For the price, it’s not worth it and it’s definitely NOT a resort. We will never stay here again and certainly do not recommend it.

The place was great but the staff and the rules were not. First one bathroom had no toilet paper and the other less than half a roll. I asked for some and they acted as if I was lying and gave me 1 roll and said when I was out I had to go buy some. That is not a “resort” normality. They also charge you a cleaning fee at check in but require you take out the trash (okay), load the dishwasher (fine), but then say wash and unload dishwasher before you leave at 11. Considering that the washer takes 3 hrs to complete you need to get up before 7 to have time for breakfast and cleaning…and eat or drink nothing else. Again NOT “resort” norms.

Just outside maastricht...a 15 min walk to bus stop ideal location and lovely resort. Staff we met friendly and efficient

It was okay. We were just not used to having no AC. Staff was very pleasant.

On the whole very good especially the resort itself. Our appartment lacked comfort items ie lack of hairdryer. reasonable size towels - not rags. Decent pillows. Taxi Shuttle very good

Loved the area and the facilities. Property needs better towels, pillows and more toilet paper, soap and shower gel. Also a welcome pack that includes nespresso pods, tea bags would have been a nice touch.

Everything was great , might be good if the shop could be open later, and maybe a recycling bin in the apartments .

This is my second time staying at Dormio. We love it here. My only critique is that the furniture is all very hard and uncomfortable but the place is wonderful, the people are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and modern. Sometimes the main outdoor area is noisy late in the evening if people are out dining/drinking so rooms facing this area may encounter this.

Amazing stay here! I highly recommend it!!

We went during the week and felt like all the staff there (when we could find them) didn’t really want to be there. Our place was nice, but missing some amenities. The laundry facility was not good.

It was a wonderful stay however the service could be better.

We like the area and surrounding environment. The food was good. However, we had difficulty with the stairs to the bedrooms and smoke from outdoors when we opened the windows. I have some health problems. We had to check out early due to the safety concern. The security officer nicely worked with us to identify problems. The resort manager generously informed us to refund the remaining night based on the unexpected experience we had. We are waiting to hear from Expedia personnel after working with the resort manager.

We loved the indoor pool and all of the kid friendly play areas! Had a few dining options that were convenient. Perfect for the 5 of us!

We had a wonderful, restful stay at the Dormio. It has everything you need to allow both kids and adults to stay entertained and also relax.

Nice modern resort with good facilities

The hotel is nice and neat. But the apartment floorplan is poorly designed. The toilet is not in the bathroom. The shower closet has leaks and each time after shower you will flood the bathroom. They also don't offer much amenities. You only get one roll of toilet paper (more like half roll) and you will have to buy more your own. They don't offer any tissue box.
