Facade Hotel Amsterdam

We just stayed just to sleep nothing else. Its not a resort so dont expect it is.. If you are a practical person like me, and just need some place to sleep. This is it. In fairness, the beds are comfy.. staff are helpful! and you can leave your baggage for free after checking out and explore the city.

As the description stated it is a very small room basically only space to sleep but it was worth it for the view over the canal and being so central to everything. As we were out and about most of the days and didn’t stay very long, the small room didn’t bother us. So all in all was happy with my stay!

This hotel is placed right in the red loght district which allows for easy walkable access to the dining and cultural facilities as well as very easy access to train hub

Nice place to stay right in the red light district.

This worked perfectly for our family of 5 for 2 nights. Though it is close to the red light district it wasn’t obvious. The beds were comfortable and they cleaned it daily which was wonderful.

Staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. We were able to leave our bags before and after check in which was great. We booked a small double canal view room, which as it says, was small, but room enough for 2 people to sleep and fine as we were barely in there. Overall very pleased and would stay again:)

A very convenient budget hotel. Easy walking distance for centre of Amsterdam. Plenty of places to dine. The staff are helpful and the room is cleaned every day with fresh towels. The only issue is that, due to the type of building, the rooms are very small, with no storage space. The shower was lovely but the bathroom very cramped. You can have breakfast the nearby eateries, so the fact that there is no bar or dining room is not too much of a hassle.

Avoid at All Costs! I wish I could give this place zero stars. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I booked it for 7 nights (considering it is in the center of city but had to run away the second day without getting any refund). The only positive was that it was close to the city center—unfortunately, that just meant it was even noisier at night, making sleep impossible due to the paper-thin windows, cracked window shutters. The room was filthy. The sheets were old, yellowed, and felt unwashed. The towels were just as bad—thin, worn-out, and a disgusting shade of yellow. The curtains were ripped and dirty, and the window shutters were cracked, offering no relief from the city noise and the smell of marihuana. There was absolutely nothing in the room—no fridge, no safe deposit box, not even coffee. If you wanted coffee, you had to pay for it in the lobby from a coffee machine. Speaking of the lobby, it was a depressing, unwelcoming space with nowhere to sit and no waiting area. Just a vending machine and a paid coffee machine. To top it all off, there was no elevator. We had to lug our suitcases up narrow, steep stairs. When I asked about an elevator, the receptionist jokingly said, "You're young, you can carry your luggage!"—as if that somehow made up for the complete lack of basic amenities. This hotel is a joke. It’s dirty, uncomfortable, noisy, and lacks even the most basic conveniences. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Very close to the central train station, nightlife, etc. Room was nothing fancy but had exactly the level of comfort we expected.

We wanted a hotel walking distance from train station and this was perfect since we were just staying for a day! There are 5 in my family and we were in 1 room which was perfect for our short stay. Restos and stores close by, and staff was friendly!

Nice place, we arrived early but we weren’t allowed to check in early which was fine because it forced us to go walk around and we had a good time exploring. Very close to the red light district and there’s a good restaurant right next door and a museum next door as well. Our view from our room was great. Overall wonderful place.
