What a great older hotel! The staff was so kind to put us in a high floor room, which in itself was a fun adventure to get to! It was cozy and comfortable and so quiet! I slept better than I had our whole trip. Small room at a great price perfectly situated between the central train station and Dam square- a comfortable walk everywhere we wanted to go. Check in and check out were friendly and efficient!

You get what you pay for, you can’t complain. 5 stars as it just a walk away from the main train station and it is right in the middle of Amsterdam city Centre. Be prepared to walk up stairs as there was no elevator for the building. Once I arrived my room was actually upgraded to a better room which was nice but at the very top floor. I’m fairly athletic so it was not much of a hassle for me.

Staff very helpful, rooms basic but very clean, very central location. Steep stairs might not suit everyone. I will stay here again.

The smallest room I’ve ever had to live in, so ridiculously small you could hardly turn around and there wasn’t even any room for us to put our suitcases so had to have them at the end of the bed and in the bathroom!!?? Awfully steep stairs and rude staff. Hardly any sleep as you could hear everything going on in the hotel. Only good thing is the location. For the price I paid I’d rather find a more expensive hotel and actually be able to move around in the room

I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years. The location is great and staff is nice but they really need to clean better. So much trash and debris and cigarette butts people have thrown out of the windows. Can’t beat the price at least

Standard crap Amsterdam hotel. Ridiculously expensive for what it is, and the only plus is the location. Rooms are cramped and tiny, they’ve clearly walked off bigger rooms to create tiny ones, but that’s the done thing in Amsterdam. Shared toilets and showers, relatively clean, so don’t expect any peace or quiet on any level, but do expect the strong smell of cigarettes and weed.
