The staff was so lovely and I didn’t get her name, but the woman that helped us check in checked in on us our whole stay. We felt super welcome as it was our first time in the country!! We would definitely stay again! Also in a super convenient location, with the train station less than a 5 minute walk away. Several fun bars also just a 5 minute walk away!!

Great hotel, nice staff, fantastic location, nice room and good breakfast. Dam square and Amsterdam Central Station are about 10 min walk. Only slight drawbacks are no elevator and narrow staircase, which isnt great if you have a bit of luggage. There is no ac, the top floors get a little warm, but they provide a fan which is suffficent in May. The towels are clean, but getting a bit thread bare and should probably be replaced. These are all minor problems and I would gladly come back to stay again.

Great hotel situated in a very convenient location within easy walking distance of everything in the city center. The staff were absolutely lovely. I was in a small single room, but even that was perfectly comfortable for my week-long stay in Amsterdam. I imagine the bigger rooms are even nicer. The breakfast was tasty, if somewhat light compared to others I've had at European hotels of this quality. It certainly provided enough to get one going for the day, however. I would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located hotel within walking distance to major attractions. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the free breakfast. The room was clean and tastefully decorated but could use a paint refresh throughout the hotel. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. This wasn’t an issue for us given our trip was in early October, but could be an issue on hot days. There was a fan in the room that could be used if needed. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We loved Amsterdam.

Charming little hotel with great staff. Be prepared for a tight walk up stairs with no elevator but that's Amsterdam. Shower is weak but otherwise rooms are great, clean and nice location to all things Amsterdam.

A nice enough room. I only booked a single room so the 3/4 bed was a bonus, although it would have been nicer if the duvet had covered the whole bed, it was small. The bedroom and bathroom were clean but basic. The bathroom sink blocked the toilet, so get used to pee-ing on the diaganol. The main reason for docking points was I was massively bitten on the second night of my stay, I didn’t expect this in Amsterdam. The receptionist said it was mosquitos but I feel like that was unlikely in Amsterdam in late September. Anyway she said it was known and, if so, why didn’t they either advise me so I could have sprayed and/ or bought a plug in, or just put a plug in the room. Rather ruined my last day being an itching sore mess. Nice cafe / ba4r, although was advised I could return (use the facilities, WiFi, charge) but it was a different staff on my return and they seemed to think this odd (although did let me) Overall nice hotel,

Staff was very friendly and welcoming, but the positives end there. My “room” was between reception, the stairs, and the dining area, and the walls were paper-thin, making it impossible to sleep because of all the noise throughout the night. This should be (and probably once was) a storage unit or utility room. And despite the “room” being on the ground floor, the water pressure was comically low. I definitely won’t stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Overall stay was good. Room was smaller than expected and we wished there were window screens so keep out mosquitos. The building is older so the floors were creaky and we could hear all activity from upstairs. We liked having the dining area and gift shop downstairs and breakfast was lovely. Appreciated their luggage storage area so we could leave out stuff day of checkout for a bit.

Lovely place to stay! It was five of us who stayed in a room and it didn't feel super tight. We had a canal water view which was very pretty. No AC or elevator, but wasn't an issue for us. They have fans and we opened the windows during the night. It kept us cool enough in August. We spent the most nights at this hotel and we really felt the Amsterdam experience. The lobby is beautiful and free breakfast was appreciated and delicious!

The location of the hotel is excellent right next to the shopping area, which was super convenient. However, the hotel is quite small and there’s no elevator. The stairs are extremely narrow and steep, making it very difficult to carry luggage up. I wouldn’t recommend this place for older guests At first, I was a bit concerned about the interior, as the hallways and common areas look very old and vintage, almost like a time capsule. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room it had been completely remodeled, was spotless, and I even received an upgrade to a triple room, so there was plenty of space. The only real downside was that the room had no air conditioning. It got a little warm at night, and I had to keep the windows open, which made sleep just okay.Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for a short overnight stay if you’re looking for something central and clean. The rooms are very well kept and modern inside, but the narrow staircases and outdated hallways might not make it ideal for a longer stay. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful, which made a big difference.

The hotel is in a great location. It is right in the middle of the city--walking distance to many sites as well as multiple tram lines and the metro. It is hard to find a room for five so we are always happy to find one that can accommodate us. The hotel was in an older building but was clean and the staff was friendly. No elevator but our room was only up a few steps. The room was a bit cramped. It is a great place sleep but not a place you are going to relax and hang out. Bathroom was a bit on the honor system as the door had a window out to the room that was covered except for the top pane, which was a little odd. Breakfast was included in our package and was great. Typical European breakfast with eggs, bread, cold cuts, juice and coffee. Had Proseco in case you wanted a Mimosa.
