Stayed at the Hotel New York for one night prior to our cruise. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to cruise terminal. It is an historical building right on the pier in Rotterdam. The staff was excellent and the room well-appointed and very clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel for a pre/post cruise stay or your visit to Rotterdam.

The Hotel New York is absolutely stunning. There’s so much history within these walls as it used to be Holland America’s headquarters. Our room was so spacious and comfortable-amazing pillows. The cruise port is a 2 minute walk from here-easiest embarkation ever! Many thanks for a fabulous stay!

Super convenient for our pre-cruise stay since it’s across the street from the cruise terminal. It’s also a short walk to a train station if you want to venture out a bit, but there are local choices for dinner and coffee, etc. The breakfast in the hotel was good, but a little pricey.

The hotel is a beautiful historic building. We loved our room . The breakfast was excellent. Above all the staff were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile which we appreciated so much. I would love to come back for another stay.

Great staff. Beautiful hotel. Decor is wonderful. Bed and linens were great quality. Room was quiet with blackout curtains. We were tired so did not want to walk to dinner although there are places near the hotel. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was awful. Not really edible. Walking to and from ship was very easy. Would stay again but eat somewhere else.

Breakfast buffet had lots of choices and food was tasty. Chef was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant dinner menu in my opinion was not great. The outdoor restaurant was a great place for cocktails with a view. The bed was a little hard even though I appreciate a firm mattress. A night light in the bathroom would have been nice or an option to turn off most of the lights as the bathroom door has a porthole window on it. Great location if you are cruising out of Rotterdam as terminal is easily walkable. Easy walk to visit SS Rotterdam Museum. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Nice location near cruise ships. The hotel is cruise themed and feels like it inside. Rooms are spacious and give the feeling of a 1890s cruise with vintage pictures and furniture. Definitely would return.

Very small room with bed pushed up against the wall. Hardly enough space to even open our suitcases up on the floor. Bathroom was awful. Also very very small and in serious need of an upgrade. At breakfast i asked for an omelet but was told the chef was too busy at the back of the kitchen. In other words - pathetic service. Will never stay at the hotel again.
