We were happy to check in early after leaving the ship. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was charming, bright and spacious for a historic hotel. The restaurant was busy but they took time to work with us on a dietary requirement. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast buffet. The location was convenient to the cruise terminal, ferries and the metro.

We loved this hotel. This was our second stay and we would definitely stay there again. This place seems to have a culture of hospitality. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeepers were very friendly and always ready to help. They have a lovely breakfast which was included in our package which may involve an extra charge. One tip is that the subway is at the end of the street. We arrived at the central train station and the tourist info person never mentioned that option. We took a cab when we could have hopped on the subway for just a euro. The subway stop is Wllimeniaplain (sp?) Hats off to Hotel New York, one our favorite places to stay.

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Het eten was goed en onze kamer was verrassend ruim.
Het pand deed ons denken aan onze reis naar New York van vorig jaar maar was wel flink verouderd. Verouderde voorzieningen als rookmelders en de lift waarmee je het gebouw in komt als je een kinderwagen mee hebt (of in een rolstoel zit), zouden in onze optiek wel vervangen/vernieuwd mogen worden.
Desondanks een hele prettige ervaring die we graag nog een keer zouden willen beleven.

Stayed at the Hotel New York for one night prior to our cruise. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to cruise terminal. It is an historical building right on the pier in Rotterdam. The staff was excellent and the room well-appointed and very clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel for a pre/post cruise stay or your visit to Rotterdam.

Super convenient for our pre-cruise stay since it’s across the street from the cruise terminal. It’s also a short walk to a train station if you want to venture out a bit, but there are local choices for dinner and coffee, etc. The breakfast in the hotel was good, but a little pricey.
