Kimpton DE WITT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Definitely try a cocktail, or at least sit at the bar and watch them being made. Hotel is nice but not a super standout.

Lovely spacious rooms. Very clean. Only gripe was pillows to soft. Great location. Everything we needed with in walking distance. Nice and quite considering the business. Would definitely come back and ask for harder pillows. lol

The staff were amazing, super friendly and accommodating! We stayed here for new year and they delivered a card and chocolate to the room, the party at Super Lyan was fabulous and in general the hotel is beautiful and in such a good location. I would highly recommend.

The room is spacious, clean and very welp maintained. The location is very close to Amsterdam Centraal, so if you plan to go inter city, Kimpton is a very good location for accommodation. The staff is friendly and attentive. There was a bit of confusion with the breakfast, and they gave us breakfast for two for free! Kimpton is highly recommended!

Great room, high end hotel. The bar and restaurant were incredible. Breakfast was bottomless and tons of options! Location was fantastic as well.

Overall, this was a very nice stay. Staff was polite and accommodating. Area of hotel was excellent! Easy walking or hopping on the tram. Rooms could have been a bit cleaner. Especially, the bathrooms. They need a serious scrubbing. Water could be hotter as well!

The staff are really what makes this hotel, they’re excellent. The room is great too - v comfy bed. Negatives are the incessantly loud soundtrack that’s there from breakfast onwards. The staff have no control over it, Maintenance has to be called. The other negative is the restaurant. Breakfast is v busy, and there needs to be dedicated staff members just to clear tables because we sat on 3 mornings surrounded by empty dirty plate laden tables. Coffee is like you get at a conference in those thermos jugs, which for a city known for its coffee is disappointing. We also tried the taco Tuesday dinner and the tacos were v poor. One of them was a large fillet of fish, skin and tail on, on a cold plate - accompanied by diced raw onion, pickled onion, diced tomato and a taco to wrap the cold wet fish in. Having said all that would I stay at a Kimpton again? yes I would because of the staff, and they’d probably have a better handle on the catering next time
