Bohemian Hotel - Self-Service

The location, cleanliness and modernness of this hotel was great! It’s well located and the rooms felt new and had a microwave and great fridge. The lounge space was gorgeous and comfortable with a free coffee machine and tea. It should definitely be noted that this is a 5 floor hotel with no elevator - so it is unfortunately not accessible to anyone. Additionally the bed was very small - we booked a room for 2 people and the bed was small and we’re small people. This room should have been for a single person only or they need to upgrade the size of the bed. It was a double room and I think we got a twin bed or smaller.

Think twice before booking here. If you are lucky like me to get a room on the 5th floor in an old building without elevator may not be the best choice. My room was extremely small with little overhead space with no mini-fridge, no microwave or TV as listed. Great staff and very clean rooms! The rooms are small, but comfortable. My only issue was the street noise at night. The hotel provided ear plugs though! Would recommend for an economical place to stay!

It was easy enough to find, take light railway (bybanen) from airport to Bergen Centrum, (last stop with linie 1), then straight up Christie Gate to the hotel. The entrance area looked a bit disappointing as an older building and the roads around the hotel are not as well looked after as the area around the Bryggen area. Nice and spacious common area with a few books and option to make a drink with machine for coffee and kettle to boil water for tea. Room was small but had everything needed, bed comfortable and good bathroom and shower. Entrance via a code you are provided with

When we got there, the room was not ready for us. Even though the person chatting with us was very friendly, there was no front desk to get things sorted out in a timely manner. We ended up canceling our stay and going somewhere else.

Great trip. Bohemian was always responsive to questions. Centrally located to downtown.

Room was decent size for a solo traveller and the bathroom was spacious. The room was clean and tidy. Having a fridge and microwave available in the room was great. Great location, shops and transport all close by. Communication with host/staff was good and they did take on my feedback as stated below. Downsides - there was no available cutlery, it was noisy at times (but I did go when it was Russ and 17th May), the bed sheets weren’t changed when they were supposed to (on the 4th day - I stayed for a week), bins weren’t emptied and only 1 pillow was provided, there is no lift so expect to carry your heavy suitcases! Although the luggage storage code was available before check in there was no code to access the building which was inconvenient (luckily someone was exiting the building as I arrived so I could wait in the lounge) Despite these inconveniences, my experience overall was good and I would stay here again.

No elevator, 120 stairs (24 stairs per flight and i was on the 5th floor), had i known there was no elevator i wouldn’t have stayed here. Room was dirty. Room not as described. Twin bed was half obstructed by an angled wall. Pulled bed from wall and very dirty behind bed .

Very friendly staff and room was clean. Walkable to anywhere in Bergen!

Property was easy to check into. Beds were comfortable and it was right next to everything you could want.

It was a nice stay, but the shower would only stay warm for 5 minutes at a time. Everything else was very convenient and clean.

Very comfortable, except no lift n can hear some disco noise

We had a wonderful 5-night stay at this location. Great spot in the city, with just a short walk to the city center. Rooms are very comfortable and the common area offers a lot of use for the property. Other reviews complained about the noise from the night club but my girlfriend and I weren't terribly disturbed by it. Will certainly try to stay here again if back in Bergen.

My room did not have the promised view of the city otherwise it was good

We were disappointed with the venue. Size was not as large as we had expected. This may have been a misunderstanding on our part. There was limited capactiy for interacting with someone to chek in or resolve thiings with everything done by txt/email and code. Frustrating at the end of a long days travel. the venue itself was clean and tidy.

Really torn about this one. So the big thing was the room I booked was supposed to have a kitchenette & closet. When I get to the room there was none of this, it was a basic hotel room, I contacted the company and they said there were no rooms like that available and so they offered me a 1 night refund. Honestly, if I had known I would have booked elsewhere due to the duration I was there, living out of a suitcase was not ideal. Also... - Luggage room/lounge out of action. - Very noisy on a Fri/Sat night with clubs/bars below - There was a weird speaker/vent which seemed to bring noise through from other part of complex into my room, very odd and off putting. - Door very stiff to close. - Couple of times the water for shower wouldn't stay hot for long, but usually worked good. Positives - Good location - Smart, compact room. Ultimately being misled wasn't a good start to my stay and as a result I wouldn't stay again unfortunately.

Prime location walking distance to the waterfront. Clean & tidy room. Would highly recommend

There is a pub/disco on the other side of the street, which was a bit loudly. Otherwise the room was great.

A centrally located property which felt safe and secure. The property was very clean and had most of the facilities needed (would recommend providing shower gel and a hairdryer!). The room was a little on the small side but was fine for a few nights. The bed (sofa bed) could do with a thicker topper as I had back ache both nights.
