I was attending a conference at the university and this property turned out to be very convenient for that. The building itself is very close to both the university and the downtown pedestrian zone, and the property itself was very well maintained overall. I appreciated the lounge area with free coffee. And my room was fairly basic but very clean and equipped with useful amenities such as a good-sized refrigerator and microwave, which is extremely helpful in a country where prepared food tends to be very expensive. There was a bit of confusion about how the door codes work, but that was cleared up fairly quickly via WhatsApp. As some others reported, the street outside was a bit loud in the evening because there are quite a few bars right there, and the Norwegians tend to stay up very late once the sun returns in the summer, especially on weekend nights. I was on a high floor, though, so it didn't really bother me all that much. And they did think to provide ear plugs, just in case. Bottom line: I'd say it's a good option for anyone who needs to several nights in central Bergen without completely breaking the bank.

We loved the apartment , 3 minutes walk to the metro , supermarket , cafes restaurant just on the door . Very nice comfortable apartment . Would definitely stay here again . 5 star from us .

Great location and clean. Very responsive on request. But did not know there is no elevator. It is hard to get the luggage to 5th floor.

Excellent budget friendly hotel in central Bergen. Fantastic location. The spacious and wonderfully decorated lounge with free coffee was the cherry on the top of a glorious stay. I will be back!

The property itself was fine, I was there for a week. It does say they change sheets on day 4 and that didn't occur - though I didn't mind that, just a note if someone does. They certainly provide ear plugs for a reason though. The sound between rooms carries so much I could hear every word of the conversations around me and there were excitable revelers shouting in the streets until at least 2am most evenings.

The hotel is in a great location close to everything. Easy walk to Old Town-museums- tram and more. The total has a nice lounge. That’s the good part. I was nervous when there were ear plugs provided on the bed that we saw right away. Walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors. There is a great bar across the street. The only reason we know that is because the loud activity and conversations long into the night while we were trying to sleep. ;-) Very bare bones and basic. The room was small for 2 people. Again, this is a great location but likely better options in the area.

Room we had very small. No wardrobe for clothes and the one chest of drawers had one of the three draws broken. The biggest issue however was the four flights of stairs that we had climb to get to the room. I had a total knee replacement last year and lack of information on this matter was a real problem. This lack of a lift needs to be added to the booking information!

No staff at property communication via email was available. There was a key code for the main door to the building but it was never locked which felt a bit unsafe. You have to carry luggage up 2 -3 flughts of stairs

The Bohemian was a good, economical choice for my two night stay in Bergen. The area was safe and walkable, with a tram that will take you directly to the airport, just a five minute walk away. The room was small, but clean, with everything I needed for my stay, inclusive of a mini fridge. I did not make use of the public space on the second floor, but it looked nice/modern and other travels made use of it. I'd recommend if looking for a budget-friendly stay and a clean place to sleep.
