Basic but yet accommodating all your needs. Loved how smart they reduced the cost of hotel and as a result you get affordable rates. Located in the heart of city and easy to access everywhere. And don’t forget to eat in partner’s cafe downstairs, Spor Av Nord, both for breakfast and dinner! Not only you’ll get quality food but also you’ll get discount for staying in the hotel. Totally worth it!

My room was perfect. I have come to CityBox a few times before and have always enjoyed it except for the time I was given room 613 I believe it was, which was way too small. So small I could only stand in about half the room. That room should be turned back to the broom closet it once was!

Had been at Oslo and Bergen CityBox before and loved it. This time, my room was so small I could only actually stand up in half the room, room 613, right under the room by the eaves. Sadly, I am not kidding. Getting in the shower was not easy either. I understand the "box" concept and love it, but room 613 should NOT be a room but a broom closet!

The hotel is situated in a prime area of Oslo, which initially gave us high expectations. However, our experience was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, we were met with a rude and unwelcoming receptionist, which set a negative tone for our stay.
The cleanliness of the room was below standard—no daily cleaning was provided, which was quite surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Most concerning was the condition of the washroom in Room 411. The toilet commode was broken, and despite our request to change the room, we were simply told “sorry” with no further action taken.
Customer service and maintenance need serious improvement. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on our experience.

The property was in a great location, right in the heart of Oslo and easy to get around from there. As for the hotel itself, it was nothing special, it was a normal hotel and a bit run down. The hotel room itself wasn't functional for long stays, as there was nowhere to lay down luggage or room to put your belongings off the ground. It was clean. Easy check in and check out as it was all done on your own at a kiosk and free extended checkout times until 1:00. If you become a "friend" of the hotel through their app, you can check it at 12:00 instead of 3:00. Definitely a great option when staying in Oslo.

All was great .. our room had an issue with the window not opening (there is no air conditioning ) so I requested to be moved, however they gave us a tough time because the hotel was fully booked. However after all the complaining and contacting management we were finally moved . I will stay here again. Near Tran station and shops.

Citybox was a great place to stay and affordable. The facilities were great, the communal kitchen was perfect to make a brew or eat in to save some money - there was a fridge, kettle, microwave and a coffee machine (this cost extra).
Our room was nice, clean and the bed was comfy. Our room was front facing and the trams passed right below the window, unfortunately this meant it was quite noisy even with the window closed and the room shook when they passed.
Otherwise a great stay and would recommend.

This hotel is perfectly situated for a quick trip to Oslo. You will be able to walk everywhere as it is close to major sites. Also, this hotel has self-use laundry facilities which is great if you need to do laundry.

Loved the vision of the hotel and how it is set out, with the opportunity to network with fellow travellers. Even the lack of tv was not a problem as it gave me the chance to read and enjoy researching Oslo. The staff were available but had to look for them as they were not visible in the foyer area.
