More about hotels in Palau
Choose the setting for your Palau accommodation
Palau offers town stays as well as accommodation designed around a resort setting. For a trip from the Philippines, decide whether you want your evenings centred on town or on the property itself. That choice is more useful than treating every Palau hotel as the same kind of island escape.
Start with Koror, then compare the address
Koror accommodation is a starting point for several styles of stay. In-town properties place local dining and errands at the centre of the visit. Accommodation elsewhere within Koror State can provide a different coastal or resort setting; the state name is broader than the town centre.
That distinction matters when comparing a practical room for days spent out on excursions with a stay where the accommodation is a major part of the holiday. A water bungalow and an in-town room provide different surroundings, even when both appear in a Koror search.
Airai stays offer a separate locality to compare. Choose the actual property around your arrival and overnight plans rather than assuming that every Palau address is in central Koror.
Keep the stay and the excursion plan connected
If diving or boat outings shape the trip, choose the accommodation in relation to the operator and departure point you will use. Overnight accommodation and a liveaboard trip are different bookings. A hotel room does not automatically include diving, boat excursions or equipment; those benefits need to be part of the selected package.
