More about hotels in Peru
Choose city and valley stays in Peru
Lima, Cusco and the Sacred Valley offer different accommodation settings in Peru. Choose the overnight stops first: a capital-city visit, a historic urban stay and a valley retreat do not serve the same daily itinerary.
Lima: choose the district as well as the hotel
Lima hotels provide a starting point for the capital. Barranco offers an arts-led neighbourhood setting, Miraflores brings the Pacific-facing city into the visit, and San Isidro provides another urban option around parks and residential streets.
Choose the district around your plans before comparing individual rooms. A hotel name or star category does not explain which part of Lima the stay will put you in.
Cusco city or the Sacred Valley?
Cusco Region accommodation covers more than the city. A stay around Cusco's historic streets offers an urban base; properties in the Sacred Valley make mountains, rivers and farmland a larger part of the experience.
Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Pisac provide different valley settings to compare. Choose the actual overnight location rather than assuming a Cusco-labelled property is in the city centre. A boutique hotel or lodge booking does not automatically include excursions, meals or wellness experiences.
