A very quiet place, and it's nice to try their cliff diving if you are into adventure
The staff were accommodating. The sardines are great. The reef are amazing prefect for snorkling and free diving. Well recommended place.

Budget place to stay and if you want to avoid tourist crowd
The room is OK and unique because the position in the attic. No problem with food and drinking water because we can ask the host to buy and to cook for us. The view is just so so and chill breeze in evening. We can ask the host to arrange tricycle or van for us to send us to another place easily. The dog is lovely and really behave ^_^ The downside is only the bathroom. Seems it is hard to pump up the water to 2nd floor.

Horrible place - just avoid it.
Booked it for one night but on arrival staff had not even bothered to look. They were just kids and the boss was in Manila. Took an hour to get our 'room' ready. In the restaurant we could only order white rice with fried chicken, nothing that was on the actual menu. It was just a horrible place - a true hellhole. Trash all around the premises, and a stinky dog in the so called restaurant. I suppose it is ok for most locals - if you expect just the least bit of service or Western standards in service - AVOID it and just go to Alona beach.

Save yourself the headache, honestly.
We found this place on trip advisor but booked it through hostelworld as there was no pricing available through trip advisor. It said there was a resturants at the hostel so we waited (after traveling all day) to eat there. The lady told us there was no food. We were suppose to be staying for 3 nights? This hostel is situated on a cliff away from any resturants (which we were aware of and were fine with - assuming we could eat something) i'm not sure what she expected us to eat for 3 days? We ventured out and found another hotel where we had to explain our situation then they reluctantly let us order a rice and chicken dish for lunch. When we got back we asked the lady for the WiFi password (so we could try book somewhere else) she said it's not working. No food. No WiFi. So we then asked if she could call us a trike. The trike fee was 250ps (for a 20min trike ride) we read it was expensive on Panglao Island but 250 was outrageous. Then the lady said we also need to pay 100ps just for her to call the trike?! The room itself was fine, up two flights of stairs big enough for our two big travel packs, had a/c and a fan. You could also see the sea from the communal balcony. Maybe this place is good in high season if they offer food like it says, and WiFi like it says, as I see someone posted a review on September and we arrived in October. (Shoulder season) my recommendation would be to contact them first to make sure they have food or bring with you groceries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Alternatively there are two other resorts close by if you can convince them to let you eat there. Very pricy food but humans need to eat. Feel free to check out any of my other reviews on trip advisor as I generally am a really positive person and have good things to say but unfortunately this was the worst, money waster (cancellation policy said they take 1 night cost) - we were the only ones there and it's rainy season and time waster, a full day wasted. Save yourself the pain and book somewhere you can enjoy your holiday.

Great spot to just be out of all the tourist commotion
It has the most amazing view. You just walk down a cliff and you are in the ocean. The food in their little restaurant is great (very local yum yum). They are very helpful. They will arrange transport (taxi and motorcycle hire for you). Just one tip contact them beforehand to get a taxi to take you there not so easy to find.

Very friendly staff!
Very nice staff at Alexis. It's a family business, named after Alexis, their youngest daughter. The daughter running the place (which name I forgot) is very helpful and always smiles. The word NO is not in her dictionary. She even dropped us off together with her mother in her car at the bus terminal in Tagbilaran! Alexis offers basic huts and several rooms for a good price, with or without AC. You can choose if you want the AC to be turned on or not (AC costs about 200PHP extra). The first night we choose not to use the AC but it tends to get pretty hot in the small hut so for a good night rest take the AC, as we did the second night. There's no real ocean view but it's a few meters from a 8 mtrs high cliff which you can dive off. The restaurant is basic but offers pretty good food for a low price. The location is pretty quiet. We got a motorbike, which the Alexis staff arranged for us, and drove around Bohol all day. If you want to go to Alona beach than Alexis is not really the right location. If you want to explore Panglao and the rest of Bohol in a nice, quiet and friendly place for a very reasonable price than Alexis is perfect!
