I really enjoyed staying here. It was quiet, the view was unbelievable, and the owners were so friendly and kind. I would recommend this resort without reservation. I came alone, but I was wishing the whole time that I had come with a special woman. Beautiful view and so romantic.

The car shuttle by Carlo, the driver, was excellent. But the restaurant has nothing in it and there should be a live sound acoustics or just a karaoke bar to entertain guests, otherwise, nothing to do at the hotel. Facility amenities can be better with activities.

Your Travel Guide to Boracay Island as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Boracay Island from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For convenient booking, book flight tickets through Traveloka and compare fares across major airlines.

Getting to Boracay Island from Manila and other major Philippine cities is a common travel route for many Filipinos. The most popular method is by air. You can book flight tickets to either Caticlan Airport (MPH), which is the closest to the island, or Kalibo International Airport (KLO). Flights from Manila to Caticlan typically take around 1 hour and 15 minutes, while flights to Kalibo are slightly longer, around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

From Manila, expect flight prices to Caticlan to range from PHP 3,000 to PHP 8,000 or more, depending on the season and how far in advance you book. Flights to Kalibo are often more budget-friendly, with prices sometimes starting around PHP 2,000 to PHP 5,000. After landing, you'll need to take a short land transfer to the Caticlan Jetty Port, followed by a boat ride to Boracay. For the most convenient travel, consider using Traveloka to book your flight and plan your entire journey.

For those on a tighter budget, traveling by bus and ferry is an option, though it is significantly longer. From Manila, you can take a bus to Caticlan Port, a journey that can take 10-12 hours. Bus fares typically range from PHP 1,000 to PHP 1,500. This option is best suited for travelers who have ample time and prefer to save on airfare. Regardless of your chosen method, the journey culminates in a scenic boat ride to Boracay Island.

Best Time to Visit Boracay Island

Boracay Island experiences distinct seasons that influence the travel experience for Filipino visitors. The peak season, generally from November to April, is characterized by sunny skies and calm seas, making it ideal for beach activities and water sports. During these months, the weather is typically dry and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius. This is when the island is most crowded and prices for accommodation and flights tend to be higher.

The Amihan season, from November to May, brings cooler temperatures and less humidity, with gentle breezes. This period is perfect for those who prefer milder weather for their vacation. Conversely, the Habagat season, from June to October, brings stronger winds and more rainfall, with occasional typhoons. While this period sees fewer tourists and lower prices, outdoor activities might be limited due to weather conditions.

For a balance of good weather and manageable crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder months, such as late October to early November or late April to early May. During these times, you can still enjoy favorable weather conditions while potentially finding better deals on accommodations and flights. Planning your visit around these periods can help you make the most of your Boracay trip, enjoying its beauty without the peak season intensity.

Boracay Island offers a diverse culinary scene that caters to every palate, with many Filipino favorites readily available. One dish you absolutely must try is Kinilaw, a Filipino ceviche made with fresh raw fish (often tuna or tanigue) marinated in vinegar, onions, ginger, and chili peppers. It’s a refreshing appetizer that perfectly complements the tropical climate, and you can find excellent versions in many beachfront restaurants.

Another local delight is La Paz Batchoy, a hearty noodle soup originating from Iloilo, but widely enjoyed across the Philippines. This savory soup features pork, shrimp, and vegetables in a rich broth, topped with crispy garlic and chicharon. It’s a comforting and flavorful meal, especially satisfying after a long day of exploring. Many eateries on the island serve this popular Filipino comfort food.

For seafood lovers, grilled items are a staple in Boracay. Freshly caught fish, squid, and prawns are often grilled to perfection and served with a variety of dipping sauces. Look for stalls or restaurants offering "ihaw-ihaw" for an authentic taste of local seafood. Pair your grilled seafood with a side of garlic rice and a fresh ensaladang talong (eggplant salad) for a complete Filipino feast.

Don't leave Boracay without trying Halo-Halo, the ultimate Filipino dessert. This iconic treat is a delightful concoction of shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, leche flan, and ube ice cream. It’s a colorful and refreshing way to end your meal, offering a burst of sweetness and varied textures. You can find this popular dessert in almost every restaurant and food stall across the island.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was quiet, the view was unbelievable, and the owners were so friendly and kind. I would recommend this resort without reservation. I came alone, but I was wishing the whole time that I had come with a special woman. Beautiful view and so romantic.

The description of this hotel is not accurate. The staff is super friendly. And the food was delicious. Ocean of this hotel is awful. Nothing is within walking distance. This description is not true. It’s at least a 15 to 20 minute Etric ride to any of the beaches. It would take well over an hour to walk anywhere. Each one way trip will cost you 200 psp. There are lots of stairs that are very steep at this property. So if you have any problems with mobility, I do not recommend this hotel. I had to cancel my reservation there and unfortunately it was nonrefundable, so I lost everything.

The car shuttle by Carlo, the driver, was excellent. But the restaurant has nothing in it and there should be a live sound acoustics or just a karaoke bar to entertain guests, otherwise, nothing to do at the hotel. Facility amenities can be better with activities.

The hotel is located on a small slope up the hill, there's a small little private "beach" there (not really a beach, but you can swim there). The room itself is facing the sea with nice scenery, it is quiet up there and peaceful. Room is clean and the stay is pleasant without any problems. There is room service for breakfast so you can enjoy the view while having breakfast. Free shuttle service to D'mall which is good. Only a small problem with the sink because it could be misplaced if you push or pull it, and water might leak out. Just gotta be careful with that. Overall a recommended hotel.

I cannot write a good review about this place and if it is your policy only to publish good reviews then I will never use Expedia ever again as I will never trust any feedback but if you want an honest review about this place then I will begin.the rooms are just about adequate the entire complex is on a state of decline nothing has been maintained for years.there are regular power cuts I don't whether it is to do with this hotel or boracay in general.I would not recommend this place to anyone the beds were extremely uncomfortable and I dont we got a good nights sleep the entire time we were there.it is not near any of the beaches and with our the hotel shuttle you would be isolated there is nothing to do anywhere near the hotel as there is nothing there.

We arrived late, but we got a free room upgrade from the hotel staff. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was also good but it does take a while to get served. They also have free hourly shuttle service to D'mall, and free shuttle service to the jetty port or elsewhere on the island upon checkout

The place is great for couples who wants to get away from the busy streets. The ocean view is fantastic, especially when you wake up on your bed seeing it directly throught out your window. The place is quiet and relaxing. Services are great and the price is affordable. Staffs are kind and welcoming. Good food. Shuttle vans are well maintained and drops/pick up you at DMall.
