average hotel, prime location
Upon check in at Bulul we encountered minor confusion due to only reserving 2 rooms for 4 people, and showing up with 5. We assumed it wouldn’t be a problem as the pictures advertise there is two beds in each room, however, that was not the case. The security who was working at the front desk when we arrived late at night was able to call an English speaking worker by the name of Grace who was able to come to the hotel and set up an extra bed for our 5th guest. Grace is by far the kindest woman I’ve ever met and went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. The resort itself is very small and modest with only four rooms, but was exceptionally clean and well groomed. Each room has their own front porch with a table. There is also a small communal area at the back of the resort that was nice to relax at with a few beers from down the road. The AC worked great, however, they do turn it off when guests leave the hotel which resulted in returning to a hot room. There was little to no water pressure which resulted in needing to take longer showers to attempt to take out all the shampoo/conditioner. The hotel also does not clean the rooms unless you ask them. Aside from those few minor issues, our party of five really enjoyed our experience at Bulul. We paid about 80CAD a night which is definitely overpriced, however that is to be expected in El Nido. The hotel also has 24/7 security guard at the front desk. Across the street from the hotel there is a motorbike rental shop which we HIGHLY recommend. The staff at this establishment are so genuinely friendly and seek to ensure their guests have a great time in El Nido. We rented 5 motorbikes from them (500pesos a day +gas), and one tour guide (300 pesos) who drove one of the bikes with my mother. Our guide Kenneth took us to all the amazing beaches surrounding El Nido. He proceeded to give us recommendations the following days and even connected us with a tattoo artist. Overall, I would recommend Bulul to anyone looking for a well-located, modest hotel in El Nido.

nice little hotel
Stayed 3 nights, the price was fairly low so we weren't expecting a 5 star hotel. The room is big enough, a double bed, bathroom fairly large, clean, aircon and fan worked well. There is a little individual porch where you can relax and there a room to hang your wet clothes. The location is on Rizal St and is walking distance to the beach. The workers are friendly and helpful. We left them a nice tip. Yes we would stay again.

Nice room near centre of El Nido
Nice, clean and modern room with A/C. Shower has hot water and there is intermittent wifi (good by Palawan standards!). Little noise from the street. The hotel can arrange tours and transport and for an extra 200 pesos you can order breakfast which will be served outside your room - but we found better breakfasts elsewhere. Friendly service. It is no more than ten minutes' walk from the seafront but the road is dirty and full of tricycles and motorbikes.

Stay Away!
I don't understand how anyone can give a positive review about this place. We have booked a 7 night stay, only to check out 2 hours after arriving. The place is horrific. I walked into a room slightly bigger than a bathroom, with two beds taking up an entire room. There's about a foot of space between the beds and around each bed, not enough space to walk freely, yet alone unpack your luggage. The beds were hard, basic, and yellow stains on the bedsheets. The bathroom shower was yellow and a toilet had a bucket of water next to it, I'm assuming for flushing. The whole place is extremely outdated and not suitable to accommodate a human being. We were told the Wifi is "cut off" and no other explanation was given. We checked out two hours later, losing our money (at that point it didn't even matter), we had to get out of there. The owner, Lorna, is the most uncivilized person I have ever met. She made sure she shouted "no refund" as we were leaving. Please, do yourself a favor and pick another place. If possible, wait until you arrive to El Nido and check out the room before paying for It.

Not recommend if you want "NO SERVICE"
I came here in a group of 3 and stayed for 2 nights. The receptionist said they have wifi but it did not work? I thought all the area would not have wifi because Elnido is quite remote. But when I asked the hotel beside (I booked ticket there) about their WIFI and it worked really well. The room is small and quite damp, the water tank does not have hot water. However, the surrounding is ok with lots of trees (that's why I give it a star or else no star will be given). Staffs are not helpful and very silent also. Doors are hard to lock. No breakfast. No room made (only towels changed). The price is quite cheap compared to others in the area but no other services except from the room itself is given. Will not comeback here the next time. Plus: Don't eat seafood in the restaurants near the beach. We 3 got diarrhea after eating there. I guess it was because the seafood was not fresh.
