Great Hotel
This hotel was just an alternative of our hotel in Dumaguete. The hotel offered free shuttle service from the airport from the rime we arrived in Dumaguete. for a group of nine, the coaster was very big. Since we have a lot of luggage, the coaster was just right. The driver was also very warm, hospitable, and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the staff at the lobby. They were very pleased to attend to our needs. The rooms were good but were quite small. The beds were comfy. Our room was situated in the 6th floor and has a great view of the sea and you could catch the sunrise. I definitely like the design of their rooms were the doors to the bathroom, shower room and balcony were sliding doors. This feature of the hotel is very convenient to senior citizens and PWDs. I also had an issue with their internet connection, their WiFi can only be accessed in the hallways, it can't be reached inside the rooms or you just stay in behind the door to have access to their internet. However, the internet speed is not that slow. I think hotels in Dumaguete should invest in their internet connectivity since foreigners flock the city. I was just a bit concerned about their elevators. i hear some noise in the ceiling and the doors would take a few seconds before it opens when it reaches the desired floor. The elevator would also take time to go up from the ground floor. This would give the hotel a bad impression and security issue from its guests if not addressed immediately. I was amazed at their roofdeck restaurant because it has a great view of the city and the sea. At night, an acoustic band relaxes you and maximizes your stay. They also offer complimentary breakfast buffet for the whole duration of your stay. What I didn't like about it was their staff was rude and not welcoming. I understood her situation since only two of them were attending to the guests. That time, the service was quite full. The buffet were only limited for a few choices of food. I opted for waffles since it was made to order and it would be delivered to your table piping hot. Overall, I like my stay in C & L Bay View Inn. I would definitely recommend this to those who are travelling to Dumaguete City. The location of the hotel is convenient to places like Rizal Boulevard, Silliman University, Robinsons Placce Dumaguete, and Sans Rival Bistro. The hotel has much to offer which makes them in line with their competitors. I certainly would come back to C & L Bay View Inn for my future visits to Dumaguete City.

Unique hotel with slow service
The Bay View Inn is perfectly located, a short walk to the Rizal promenade. With its psychedelic colors, the hotel has everything it takes to attract customers. The rooftop restaurant offers offers a panoramice view of the city and the rooms are relatively spacious. But like in every organization it is all about people. And something is completely wrong with the attitude of (most of) the staff. Breakfast opened every day too late, room was not cleaned and an early check out was delayed because the staff was sleeping at their desk. I think the management of this hotel needs a wake up call.

Affordable and convenient
They have clean and cozy rooms that are affordable. The hotel's location is great since it's just a walk away from Rizal Boulevard, Silliman, and several restaurants. The breakfast is good, too. It's a buffet breakfast which offers various food options. They have rice, viands, bread, fruit, pancakes, bread, and beverages such as coffee, milk, and juice. The view is great as well while eating breakfast since it's on the hotel's roof top.

Another stay... after a year
This is my third stay in this hotel, so that must indicate that it's at least good enough to return to. The location is really excellent. It is close to the Boulevard and really not too far from the Robinson's Mall and the bus station. Vertically, the rooftop gives a fine view (the best view?) of Dumaguete. Breakfast has improved on years past, so I am pleasantly surprised. Then again, one morning it rained and they simply had no clue what to do in the rain (like they never experienced rain in the Philippines?). My suggestion, if it is raining... really be patient. The security guards and front desk people are very helpful and polite always. The restaurant staff seem to live in an alternate universe. I am used to it, but I would not expect much from them. It remains my favorite place to stay in Dumaguete in spite of its faults.

Panoramic view at the rooftop
Very accomodating staff love the color of the hotel the food is good and affordable. The scenery and view at the roof deck is awesome. The room of the hotel is nice with very wide comfort/bath rooms. Elevator is too small.
