There was no one to receive us when we arrived. No receptionist. I had to call and many many times knock the front desk. A man who looked like janitor appeared and disappeared and just told us that the in charge was not around. I got furious and demanded a refund. Few minutes later a lady came to entertain us. At the price we paid, it’s not worth it.

the place is nice but my reservation was not there. I had to answer everything as if I am a walk-in.

I booked a fan room with shared CR. When we arrived, the staff kept me for 30 minutes while she tinkered on her phone. I asked for a room upgrade to an aircon room as it was really hot. She gave me a really small room (according to her, they only have one aircon room) where the the TV was broken and the bed was literally leaning on the wall of the toilet. That would have been fine if the toilet had sealed walls and a door, but no. The wall the bed was leaning on has a foot-wide gap with the ceiling, and the entrance to the CR didn't have a door. We were sleeping next to that. The toilet flooring was haphazardly cemented; it didn't have tiles. The sink was a makeshift sink that was also just cemented; no tiles. The CR was so narrow that you have to take a bath sideways, in front of the toilet bowl. There was a shower, but if you used it, the bed can get wet. The door lock wasn't even a lock. You know how you nail two rectangular pieces of wood together, and the other wood goes sideways so it serves as a "lock"? That's what we had. It would be so easy for a stranger to barge into our room in the middle of the night. I had to place my backpack and all our staff against the door. I had a five-year old with me. We are both females. The worst thing was she was asking me for an additional P400 because the room, she says, costs P1,000. We arrived at 7pm. We were staying only till 7 am. I woke up at 3 am to work, and there were red ants everywhere. I was so grateful when we checked out in the morning, because seriously. The only good thing about it as that it was next to Siquijor Port and was convenient enough for swimming and boarding the ferry to Dumaguete.
