Highly recommended! Staffs are friendly and nice. No need to ask someone to clean as they have initiative to do that. Great and comfortable to stay!

im staying here for 3 nights and my room doesn't have a window. I asked for one on my 2nd night but they could not transfer me to one. not a happy camper here.
Highly recommended! Staffs are friendly and nice. No need to ask someone to clean as they have initiative to do that. Great and comfortable to stay!
The hotel is located in the center where you can find lots of food establishments from restaurants to stalls, varieties of malls, and even clubs. It is also very near to massage establishments such as Nuat Thai. The staffs were very friendly and accommodating, even offered me medicine since I was not feeling well that time. My 3 days stay was awesome. I would definitely recommend! Oh by the way, they don't offer toiletries, only tissue so please be prepared in case.
A great place to stay at affordable price
Everything was great. No noise from the street despite the window facing the street. Thin walls so you will hear your neighbor. But I would still recommend it.
Really like staying here but why do you guys never provide toiletries?
Value for money, and the food at the lobby is affordable and really a thumbs up!
Good place to stay. Will definitely come back.
Simple and nice, very clean and very reasonably priced.
No basic toiletries, just tissue paper.

Exceeds expectations again and again...
My boyfriend and I are repeat visitors to Hotel Durban and before I get to the property itself, I just want to thank Echo, Marjorie, Jessica, and everyone else at the hotel who helped in planning a birthday surprise for my boyfriend's birthday during the last weekend of October. They went above and beyond of what I hoped for and expected. I'll never forget it or them for that matter... still leaves me smiling! If hotel management is reading this, please recognize them. You have an amazing team! Now the property — I am a huge fan of boutique hotels and Hotel Durban does not disappoint. You get what you pay for and then some. We've only ever stayed in the deluxe rooms located on the upper floors so I'll speak for them but the rooms are simple, and modern and mimic the artwork that is spread out throughout the hotel. The bathrooms are gorgeous and spacious and are my favorite part. Free water in the rooms as well in glass bottles which are nice. While there is no pool or gym, the outdoor terrace is perfect instead and a plus if you want to get some work done. Loyal customer here for a long time! Truly one of Makati's best-kept secrets. Ignore the older reviews, there is an elevator and some of the photos are outdated and do no justice to the property.

Very Nice
The hotel is 4 floors and has an elevator. I stayed in two rooms, one a deluxe suite, and one a deluxe room. Both were excellent and very clean. I don't know that the deluxe suite was really a suite. The difference between the deluxe suite and the deluxe room was that the suite had a loveseat in it. The staff was friendly. They have in-room massages available for a nominal fee which is a godsend after a long flight. The hotel itself is well situated to lots of food and entertainment venues. There is a restaurant just around the corner called Next Door Noodles at North Park which I enjoyed (especially their sweet corn soup). If you need laundry done, there is a laundry place next door. There's also an Italian restaurant onsite but I didn't try it as I was in the mood for more local food. It looked nice enough. If I'm even in Makati again, I'd happily stay here.

Budget friendly
We stayed here for 2nights on a deluxe room.Overall, I'm satisfied with the room/ hotel and the service of the staff. Its near to other establishments like restaurants. The only thing that I can suggest is that, they should provide disposable slippers and toothbrush for the guest.

Disappointed; misled by room-size description, NOT a restful stay, but location & staff are GREAT
Booked a "deluxe" room for three nights with Orbitz (non-refundable) and frankly I wish I did not. Even their so called "Deluxe" rooms are so small, windowless and claustrophobic that I was shocked at "first sight" (is that it?) -Orbitz website described such rooms as being 194 square feet in size, but that is NOT what I saw: I was first given such a room on the 4th floor (the top-floor, possibly the best floor to be in) BUT room was so tiny with such a POOR LAYOUT (the "double" bed was not even a meter away from the entrance and, there was hardly any space to open my suitcase other than on top of their "double" bed). I asked to be moved to a bigger room, and, front desk was so kind to move me to a somewhat bigger room with a more decent layout (room gained a bit more space at the expense of the bathroom) BUT on the second floor. Both their ground (first) and second floor suffer from inexplicable inner noises (possibly due to some sort of "echo effect") that I was awaken at least twenty times during my three night stay. Hardly got any "good night sleep" at all, luckily I could makeup for a lack of sleep at other times of the day (but only to some extend). However room amenities worked fine: Good AirCon, good WIFI, good Cable channels, and also a small fridge. All in all the high point of my stay at this hotel was when I smoothly checked out and left (hopefully once and for all, unless they do have better rooms than the three I happen to have seen personally)!

Very helpful staff
Great location in Makati. Waking distance to restaurants, some night life, and malls. Clean, safe, great AC, warm water/ shower. These are things that you may not always get in the Philippines when you look at more affordable lodging. The staff was very helpful. The Philippine bills were changed out this year and I had some old bills from the last visit to the Philippines. One of the ladies at the front desk accompanied me down the street to the bank and begged them to help me out. Unfortunately it was way past the deadline to get my bills exchanged for new ones. However, this was a testament to their outstanding costumer service. Make sure you have cash on hand for the deposit. (And make sure they are the new bills!)
