What Guests Say About Their Stay

When we checked it they immediately offered us welcome drinks. We had to wait cos we arrived there an hour than the check in time. But as soon as we got into our room, we were so impressed and surprised cos there were rose petals scattered on the floor and the bed. When I made a booking a put a special request for a room with a nice view since this is our first trip together since getting married this year. We did get a room with a balcony and a nice view but what we didn't expect were the rose petals, notes and balloons. Super thoughtful! ❤️ The room was so beautiful! My husband kept repeating how much he loved the room. And that king size bed? Oh. My. God. So comfy! The interior of the room was impeccable and the colors were brilliant! It's nice and bright but need not to worry cos they have massive curtains so you won't have problems sleeping in the afternoon. The room we had also had a balcony with a clear view of the sky where we were able to hang our wet clothes. The room had a fridge full of Beers, sodas and chocolates. Everything in the fridge were not overpriced as compared the prices from 711 boracay. A beer was 65 each if I'm not mistaken. The owners were also very kind and accommodating. It was such an amazing stay. We'll definitely recommend this hotel to family members and friends. 💙 Thank you, Indila!

Hotel is run by a family. rooms were super clean and in a good location with a very easy short walk to the beach. only a few minutes walk away. the one thing that stood out head and shoulders above everything was the support from all members of staff. my suitcase was delayed, and the staff offered to return to the airport in Catalan and retreive this and bring this to my room. This to me was above and beyond customer service, and will e one one the reason that when I return to Boracay I will be staying here every time !!

Your Travel Guide to Boracay Island as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Boracay Island from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For most Filipino travelers, the journey to Boracay Island begins with a flight. From Manila (MNL), numerous airlines offer daily flights to Caticlan Airport (MPH), which is the closest airport to Boracay. These flights typically take about 1 hour and 15 minutes and can range from approximately PHP 3,000 to PHP 8,000 for a round trip, depending on the season and how far in advance you book flight tickets.

Alternatively, you can fly to Kalibo International Airport (KLO), which is further away (about a 1.5 to 2-hour van ride to Caticlan Jetty Port), but flights there can sometimes be cheaper. From Cebu (CEB) and Davao (DVO), direct flights to Caticlan or Kalibo are also available, though schedules may be less frequent than from Manila.

If you prefer a more budget-friendly option or enjoy land travel, taking a bus is a viable choice, especially from Luzon. Buses depart regularly from major terminals in Metro Manila (like Cubao and Pasay) bound for Caticlan. This journey is significantly longer, typically taking 10 to 14 hours, and bus fares usually range from PHP 1,500 to PHP 2,500 for a one-way ticket. This option is best for those who have ample time and want to save on airfare.

From Visayas cities like Iloilo or Roxas, you can also take buses and ferries to reach Caticlan.

For those driving their own vehicles, the route involves driving to Caticlan in Aklan province. From Manila, this is a long drive, often requiring an overnight stop. Major highways like the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) will connect you to expressways heading south, eventually leading to ferry terminals that can transport your vehicle or you can park and take a passenger boat. The total driving time can exceed 16 hours, and toll fees can add up.

Regardless of your chosen mode of transport, remember to factor in the environmental fee and terminal fees at Caticlan Jetty Port.

Best Time to Visit Boracay Island

Boracay Island experiences two main seasons: the dry season (Amihan) and the wet season (Habagat). The dry season typically runs from November to May, characterized by calmer seas, less rainfall, and gentle northeastern winds. This period is considered the peak tourist season, especially from December to February, when the weather is most pleasant, making it ideal for beach activities, water sports, and simply enjoying the sun.

If you prefer a lively atmosphere with plenty of events and a guarantee of good weather, visiting during these months is recommended.

The wet season, from June to October, brings stronger winds from the southwest and more frequent rainfall. While this period can see fewer crowds and potentially lower accommodation prices, the weather can be unpredictable, with occasional strong winds and rough seas that might affect boat activities. However, even during the Habagat season, Boracay remains beautiful, and there are often periods of sunshine between rain showers.

For travelers seeking a more tranquil experience and willing to risk occasional rain, the shoulder months of the wet season (like June or October) can offer a good balance of decent weather and fewer tourists.

For Filipino travelers, the best time to visit often depends on personal preferences and budget. If you prioritize guaranteed sunshine and a bustling atmosphere, aim for the dry season. If you are looking for a more laid-back vibe and potentially better deals, consider the shoulder months of the wet season, keeping in mind the possibility of occasional rain.

The tangy, fresh flavors are incredibly refreshing, especially in the tropical heat. You'll find excellent Kinilaw at many local eateries and even some beachfront restaurants, offering a taste of authentic island preparation.

Overall a very pleasant experience. Although the hotel has seen better days, it is well maintained and cleaned everyday. Rooms are well lit and the colours are so vibrant. They also have an in room safe and tv. A carafe is provided to fill your water from a water station on every floor. Mason jars are used as glasses which I found very cute. The bathroom comprises of a shower with hot water, toilet with a bidet and a sink. Unfortunately the balcony overlooks the neighbour’s backyard and another inn’s lobby but you’re in Boracay so I doubt it’ll make a difference. Breakfast was reasonably priced and was brought in on time. Front desk staff was excellent and greeted us with a smile every time we returned.

The room was clean and spacious. The interior is nice. The location would’ve been nice however it’s a bit secluded and the road is very bad. We had to walk through mud everyday. I hope this will be fixed soon.

Room is spacious, clean and the color combination is very refreshing. It really gives you the vibe of summer and beach. Staff are all kind and smiling specially to Kuya Niko. Very helpful with suggestions and very accommodating. They only serve breakfast but it was good for the price plus you can have it delivered to your room at the time you want it but not later than 10am. Good Job Indila 😊

Guest services was terrible room booked was for six person but only has two towels, when asked for additional they gave us old and dirty looking towels I complained and asked for newer cleaner looking towels, I was told by hotel manager if i was expecting gold towels and I should have booked rooms at Hennan Hotel (a 5 stars hotel nearby) I don’t consider this as a hotel, looks like air bob, hotel location is hard to find as well, run from this hotel!!

We had 7 wonderful nights in Indila. The hotel is run by very friendly family and it makes you feel like you are home. Their hospitality exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located literally 3 minutes away from White Beach. Earlier I've read in reviews that road to beach is "terrible" but in reality it's not bad. Rooms are spacious and beds are so comfortable that it took us a while to leave a room. The breakfast is available in the hotel for 150-180 PHP which can be delivered to your room. The breakfast is flexible that you can order only fried eggs or any single item from the menu. There are plenty restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

The hotel was great! Clean, spacious rooms, nice amenities, friendly service of the staff, and for only $3-$4 you have a great Filipino or American breakfast. I have no complaint with anything about the hotel. The only that would make it better is the alley to get to the hotel it was on dirt road and have some dirty puddle of water that goes across. But it would not stop me from coming back to this hotel. People will see the dirt road and will turn back... see the room first and the staff you will be amaze. The locations is in local area, the beach is only about 5-10mins.

The area/location of the hotel is very disappointing! It is difficult to find as it is in an obscure area and access going to and from the beach is horrendous as you go through a dimly lit alleyway smelling of urine and garbage!
