Thank you, Inn Rocio. The staff are so accommodating and polite; that is the one I really prefer most of this hotel. The room was also clean and cozy even though we only booked for a studio type room. And I'm happy because the picture here was the one we stayed there for a night. Will surely go back here because of staff and cheap accommodation but clean and cozy room. Two thumbs up from me.

Your Travel Guide to Baguio City as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Baguio City from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For many Filipino travelers, the journey to Baguio City often begins in Manila. The most common and practical way to reach Baguio from the capital is by bus. Several bus companies operate routes from various terminals in Metro Manila, including Cubao and Pasay. Companies like Victory Liner and Genesis Transport offer frequent trips. The travel time typically ranges from 4 to 6 hours, depending heavily on traffic conditions, especially when exiting Metro Manila.

Bus fares are generally budget-friendly, usually falling between PHP 800 to PHP 1,200 for a one-way ticket, with options for executive or first-class seating that offer more comfort for the longer journey.

If you're coming from other major Philippine cities like Cebu or Davao, flying is the most efficient option. You would typically book flight to Clark International Airport (CRK) in Pampanga. From Clark, you can then take a bus directly to Baguio City. This bus journey from Clark takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Alternatively, some travelers opt to fly into Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and then proceed to a bus terminal for the trip to Baguio. While direct flights to Baguio's Loakan Airport were historically limited and are not currently a primary option for most commercial travel, the bus routes from Luzon's hubs remain the most accessible.

For those who prefer to drive, Baguio City is accessible via the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), connecting to the Jose Abad Santos Avenue and then the MacArthur Highway, eventually leading to the scenic Marcos Highway or Kennon Road. The drive from Manila typically takes around 4 to 5 hours without significant traffic. Toll fees will apply along the expressways, adding to the overall cost of the trip.

Driving offers flexibility, allowing you to stop at scenic points along the way, but it requires navigating unfamiliar roads and being prepared for Baguio's winding mountain passes.

Best Time to Visit Baguio City

Baguio City experiences a distinct cool climate year-round, making it a popular escape from the heat. The best time to visit for many Filipino travelers is during the dry season, which runs from November to May. This period generally offers sunny days and cooler temperatures, perfect for exploring the city's outdoor attractions. The peak season within this dry spell is typically around the Christmas holidays and the Panagbenga Festival in February, which sees a surge in visitors.

If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere and fewer crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder months of November, January, or May.

The wet season, from June to October, brings cooler temperatures and frequent rainfall. While this might deter some, it also offers a different charm. The mist often shrouds the city, creating a dramatic and atmospheric setting. For travelers who don't mind occasional rain and prefer fewer tourists, this period can be ideal. The lush greenery is at its most vibrant, and hotel rates might be more affordable.

However, it's essential to be prepared for potential travel disruptions due to heavy rains and typhoons, which are more common during these months. For a balance of good weather and manageable crowds, the months of November and January are often recommended.

You can find etag sold in local markets, often already prepared for cooking. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I visited baguio 2x including this year. The first experience I had with the inn was when me and my boyfried 's room were in the 5th room (I liked it cause it was cozy, and I felt really home and comfortable in my first visit it was year 2017). 2024 I decided to book in the same inn hoping for a same experience I had way back 2017, but we were put up in the in the basement part I think (its room 6) maybe because we are 3 na (including my daughter). The room was spacious, what I didn't like with the room is that, I don't feel the security with the area (especially maraming dumadaan from the other building I think, and the worst part, our umbrella was stolen, nilagay lang namin sa labas to dry it up since palagong umuulab sa baguio this month). And with the experience we had, parang ayaw kunang bumalik doob: (.

Like the previous reviews mentioned, this place has a very homey feel. All their staff are courteous, like you're having a conversation with family. The room is spotless clean, windows offer city view, the dining hall also has a great view of the city of pines. Maybe they can start investing in double lock for the doors. No bidet is not a show stopper but it's definitely a plus if it's available. Free breakfast has little choice, the choco drink was particularly expensive for Php100.

Accommodating staff. Good food. Nice location. Clean. The only downside is that our room doesn’t have bidet. Other than that, good inn to stay.

House coffee is very nice. Staffs were accommodating and helpful. We had a short series of power interruptions during our stay but they have a generator. The lights in the room were a bit dark and you can hear noises from outside but it’s okay.

Good points: Friendly staff, location is accessible to neraby stores and tourist spots, good food, ambience is homey. Instagrammable place. Bad points: Food in the resto is a bit pricey, food service took a bit long. We waited for 1 hr for our breakfast. Limited amenities such as there is only one soap provided. We are three in the room. There's no tissue and other toiletiries provided. We had to buy outside for our supplies.

It was homey. Even if it looks old and rustic, the place is well-maintained. The staffs are approachable. The food is tasty and affordable. Their restaurant is very peaceful and they serve the food hot. The room itself is cozy. However, there were cockroaches crawling over the walls. Mosquitoes were all over. Mice were running over the tables.

sir rowel was as usual very accommodating and the lady front desk whom I failed to get her name. the downside was the noise cause by on going renovations. the food we wasn't that good the meat on the bulalo was a little hard having hard time chewing. the lasagna was also not that good but since I was starving it didn't matter to me but of my companion who didn't like it. mr guard was also very accommodating and always smiling. the carpet at the room needs to be replaced since it attracts mosquitoes. I had a housekeeping sprayed under the bed. overall it was okay thanks to rowel, he knows what room I wanted and is always ready to help. keep it up sir. thank you

The inn was really nice and homey. It had a great view from my window and though the room was small, it actually suited our needs just fine for the three days we stayed over. Just a suggestion, perhaps provide a bidet for the toilet, and also fix up the heating system of the shower? It took a while for the water to heat up but other than that, great stay.

Ive found a "suki" hotel if I am going to baguio again. From the place, the staff and the food. It's super worth it. Even though I had bad traffic in those days, I never mind it coz I am resting to your super mega nice hotel. Please expect me to stay in the hotel every time I'm going to a baguio. And I will surely recommend you to my friends and family. Kudos inn rocio. Good job sir receptionist I did not remember the name. From ms chubby we are asking for hot water. 😊😀😁
