Jams Pension House was very clean. The towels and beddings were soft, clean and fragrant. The room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and affordable. The staff were courteous and friendly. It was quiet and peaceful. The view from our room was magnificent. I will stay here when I return to Palawan. Good job!

The worst. Stay away from this place!
When you read bad reviews, believe them. I tried to ignore the reviews and give this place a chance, but I totally regret it. Luckily, we only had to stay for a night. It's far from the city proper. Phone numbers provided cannot be reached. They were supposed to arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel but since there was no other way to contact them, we had to look for the place ourselves. Good thing they refunded our transportation cost. When we arrived, they were not aware of our booking. We originally booked a standard double room, and since they were not ready for our stay and no more standard room was available, they transferred us to a quadruple room - a room without a working shower, no functional TV, no towels or toiletries, no wifi, terrible cellular network reception, and they took out the extra blankets to make sure we were only using one bed. The receptionist was not so sure of what she was doing. She had to call her boss every time I had inquiries. Breakfast had tiny servings and was not good. It was also served very late. They informed us that we can have breakfast by 6am but were able to eat at almost 7am already. For those with scheduled tours or pick-up early in the morning, there's a very large chance you'll only get coffee. Which, by the way, you'd also have to wait for while they boil water. Water dispenser's dirty, only available during breakfast, and probably does not give hot water. I have stayed in a number of budget accommodations, but none of them compared to JAMP. Terrible, terrible experience.

Bad place to stay
I had a very bad experience in the jamp pension. Wifi dont work at all, the staff never help us and thry didnt even try. They didnt speak english and when we asked for the manager he never came nor answer his cellphone. The location was very bad. We didnt have water for the shower and the ac worked just for few hours. I wouldnt recommend it at all. It was a very bad experience.

Would spend my money another place
We got to the hotel around 8 in the evening. We couldn't reach the hotel on their phone, cause the phone number on their site is wrong. They have free airport shuttle, but since we couldn't reach them we needed to take a tricycle. Luckily they paid the tricycle bill for us. They were really nice at first, but then we got our room. There was no toilet seat, the shower wasn't working and we only had one fan. We were three people in a small room with a bunk bed. And the fan was on the floor. Needless to say, the person in the top bunk didn't sleep that well cause of the heat. When we asked for a toilet seat, they didn't have one. The tv didn't work either, neither did the shower. So we wanted to talk to the manager about changing rooms. When we said we wanted to speak to the manager, they were able to find a toilet seat. We had to sleep one night in the first room before we could change. As we figured out, the place is really far from the center, so we wanted to cancel three nights. The manager told us, that it wasn't possible because of hotels.com policy. This wasn't correct. We called hotels.com costumer service and they told us it was up to the manager. We had prepaid, so if we were to cancel, we wanted a refund. The staff told us, that we could have aircon the three last nights if we stayed. So we did. Since we were three person in one small room, in was really hot with just one fan. So we asked for one more fan. One of the girls that worked at the hotel, told us that we could use aircon. We specifically asked if it was for free, and she said yes. The next day, she told us that we needed to pay. We were back and forth on the phone with the manager, and we got really tired of it. So we wanted to speak to her in person. It took 4 days for her to show up. It was really annoying that we had a lot of small problems, because the staff wasn't properly informed. The wifi there is also terrible and works best on the top floor and only in the morning. The breakfast is really simple, and consist of one egg, two pieces of ham and rice. If you want more, you'll have to pay for it. The staff was sweet, but they don't have clear guidelines, so there was a lot of misunderstandings. They also put tape on the aircon contact, so we wouldn't use it. They didn't clean the room during our stay, and it wasn't properly clean when we arrived. It's cheap, and it doesn't cost much. The multicab to town is only 15pesos. But I wouldn't stay here again.

Terrible, Dont stay
Don't ever stay in this hotel. I booked thru online which was prepaid and fully paid basis, but they were not allowed me initially, I reached almost around 8 PM there, they asked me to pay money, even after showing them the hotel voucher, they were so confused they they are not even listening, later i told them that as I already paid the full amount per-paid basis during my booking thru website online, and I will not going to pay anything. If u will not allow me i will go to some other hotel but not pay u and become fool. I told them that i will post it to the website and claim for the refund as well as complaint for your wrong behavior then the lady called someone on phone and talk over the phone for almost 5 min. and then she told that I can stay, but besides there are many issues, the hotel supposed to offer airport to hotel free transfer and when i called the hotel for transfer arrangement while i was arrived at airport, the lady on phone said that I can hire a tri-cycle or taxi and they will refund me PHP 200 but the issue is that they didn't refund my PHP 200 at the time of check-out :( besides that here is no blanket there in the room, the room is not upto the mark as shown in the pics, bed is not good quality nothing is good from arrival to check-out, breakfast also not worth at all, some other foreigner guest not even eat the breakfast, at least i tried it but others just went without eating it :( there is a free wifi, but it is not good at all. my final word : - don't rely on them that they will refund the airport transfer charges, they will not, nothing good about the hotel, tricycle people don't even know where is the hotel, it is very far and inside, so it is difficult to find specially at night, if u are afraid traveling without local friend then it will be not a place to find at-least in the late evening :( NOT recommended
