How to Get to Moalboal from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

Traveling to Moalboal from Manila or other major Philippine cities is most efficiently done by air. You'll want to book flight tickets to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). The trip typically takes around 3 to 4 hours, with fares generally ranging from PHP 300 to PHP 500, depending on the bus operator and class of service. Love the big, deep pool, maybe 3 metres deep. Direct access to the ocean from private beach. I love the quiet seclusion, but still a short walk to other shops, bars etc. Beware, they only take cash. Dive shop is excellent.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to stay on the ocean and very close to the highway on the bus route so we didn't have to always take a trike in and out of town. Unfortunately when we went to check in they did not have the room we booked available, or any rooms available at the beach resort. We were traveling for about 7 hours that day and arrived a little past 7pm. We were extremely disappointed and since it was so late there was no time to cancel the booking and switch to another resort. We were put in one of their properties about 300 feet away from the ocean, it was not very comfortable we were sad we traveled all this way to not be close to the ocean. The breakfast they had was very small, the deluxe was about 250 pesos and included 2 pieces of toast, 2 eggs either fried or scrambled and then a square of ham or a strip of bacon. The beach is very small, only about 30 square feet, and its for getting on and off the diving boats, so you can't really use it and there's no where to really relax or go swimming. If you were looking to enjoy the beach or swim, it may be better to look for a place on the main white sand beach or panagsama beach. The staff was not very accommodating and the owners husband was making some very inappropriate comments. We did not feel comfortable at this place at all, I think the staff should avoid making such rude comments about their guests especially when others can hear it.

I really hesitate to give these guys a great review because I might not be able to get another reservation there when they get too popular!! This place is great, perfect if you want an out of the way, relaxing, calm, peaceful place to spend a week or two. Very romantic, very simple. Staff is great. You can walk right down on the beach and enjoy some really good snorkeling or take one of the dive trips! There is a dive shop right on the property and the staff there is very helpful also. The food is very good... not fancy but very good. There is a near by town, Moalboal, and you can get essentials there but it is not a place where you will want to hang out a lot... there are no eating places there unless you feel like risking your health eating street food.... DON"T!! Just stay at the resort and relax... if you are looking for a luxury 5 star resort witha mile of sandy beach, this is not it... this is a great atmosphere dive resort: a romantic, lush, green place to ditch the world for a couple of weeks. They have wifi in case you really need to connect! I suggest taking the 4 hour bus ride out of Cebu. You will see a lot about the Philippines. Not a luxury ride but you if you came here for luxury you made a mistake... this is life in an amazing part of the world. The resort is comfortable and intimate. If you want a place to escape, relax, dive, and recharge it is worth traveling to from all over the world.... and people do!!! May of their guests are from Europe.

The restaurant is overpriced and awful. Perhaps the worst is that they have no ice most of the time, their meals are badly made and very overpriced. You can go to resorts next door which have restaurants for 3/4 of the price get a larger meal with better taste. Hotel is nice, dive shop is great and helpful. Just the bar serves hot drinks and as i said...rarely to see ice.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Green garden with deep pool, separated from outside noises. Very quiet place. Easy access to coral reef. A lot of turtles, they also sleep very nearby!

These guys are lovely we could have stayed here forever. Hired scooters from down the road and you can book tours either from the resort or on the Main Street. Views are great. Turtles are on your doorstop. Staff are friendly and helpful and the place is beautiful.

Everything is 3x more expensive here than actual price, water, motorbike, food. Room was very very hot even with full ac blast. They wouldn’t give us any fans. Lots of mosquitos in the room and was smelly. Terrible bed.

Love the big, deep pool, maybe 3 metres deep. Direct access to the ocean from private beach. I love the quiet seclusion, but still a short walk to other shops, bars etc. Beware, they only take cash. Dive shop is excellent.

We like the ambiance on the property, and the room is spotless. There’s a water heater in the toilet with basic toiletries provided. The only downside is the public transport, but the staff can help you book a trike going to places where you wanna go.

Dive resort with basic facilities. You need to buy water from the restaurant that comes triple the price from grocery store.

Stay was good. Pretty good snorkeling right from the resort. It was hard to get information regarding things to do. Communication was also a little difficult. The resort next door had very noisy guests that made it very difficult to sleep Saturday night.
