It wasn't a bad experience. But I just think that every special request comes with a cost, if its a necessity and it gives the guests comfort I don't think the hotel should pay extra for it. Like for example extra towel and pressing and even creamer for my coffee when I asked for fresh milk instead of powdered though they eventually grant my request. The front desk doesn't greet guest. But I like the housekeeping attendants very courteous as well as the bell man. The food is not that great as well as the portion. When we entered the bathroom it was smelly and we have to request for the housekeeping to spray it. But over all my stay was just okay.
Affordable and accessible place to stay and near establishments.
Great and accessible. And they provide breakfast which is a plus point
The room is itchy, maybe it has mosquitoes or dust mites. I requested to change the mattress and blanket but it still the same. The food is good, and love their swimming pool.
We had a pleasant staycation in this hotel. The one thing "not-so-problem" I noticed, is the lighting. There were 4 yellow lights and 1 white light that made our room a bit dark/dim.
It was great and accessible to LRT and very near establishment.
We do have a great vacation.
They don't replace complementary water everyday. Very few choices for the buffet breakfast meals.
Good service. Very accommodating.
Food is great. Room is not ideal for family with kids.

Simple Staycation
Me and my friends had a staycation here since one of our friends were here also for their seminar. Rooms: clean but quite old. The room we stayed in is spacious. Essentials were present, except for slippers (lol). The main problem we had is their air conditioning unit. We had a hard time using it, gets warm inside our room immediately. Food: we had their complimentary breakfast buffet. Nothing special. Food is not exceptional, but "pwede na rin". But their cream puffs is hella good! :p But their meals which can be ordered through their room service is affordable and delish. We had beef stew and liempo and it was good. Service: staff are very friendly and polite. But the check out process was quite slow. Other amenities: i was not able to use their pool but my friends did and they enjoyed it since there was no crowd the time they went there. Overall, it was a nice stay here in this hotel

A great way to celebrate my daughter's 1st birthday
We decided to book for 2 nights here to prep for my daughter's birthday. We live in Bulacan and the party was held near the hotel. Reading through the feedback, I was hesitant at first but since it is the best I can find given the price, we still pushed through. A guard was already corteous in assisting us park our car. We got off and proceeded to the front desk, looking like beggars, since we just came from hours of hovering through Divisoria for my daughter's party, I didn't see any hesitation from them, which was really good. Went inside the room, though it was really odd to have 2 doors before reaching the room itself but I kind of understand that having that extra door kept the room from external noise. I actually liked it. The beds were a bit tough but the pillows are really soft which is plus for me. There's enough chair to sit on, free water and coffee setup, with really good fridge. The bathroom was good too with working hot and cold shower. I like everything in our room, the only thing I probably would like is a room with window but I don't see it as a huge issue considering that there's really no special view I'd dread not to see from my room. Though I didn't try the pool, my daughter did enjoy swimming it in and it is a plus that it is in a secluded area of the hotel. All in all, I would definitely go back.

Not a good place for Seminar Workshops
I was invited to be a Speaker here at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel just recently. I was excitedly looking forward to that speaking engagement. However, the halls where our seminar-wokshop was held was not that good especially their ventilation / aircondition. There was a place reserved for the Speakers like me but ironically it was that area which was quite hot. In fact, I brought with me a jacket expecting that the place would be cold but it was the other way around. The food was good, although, since I was a Speaker, my food was given to me directly by the waiters without me filing in line. However, the food given to me was so few that I really wanted to complain to the organizers.

Unexpected Charges
Unexpected Charges. They will not inform you right away that you'll be charged. The room looks like a motel. Staff isn't friendly. Such a waste of money. And friends already cancelled their booking as well. Such a no no. Will never ever come back. So many poor reviews in their Facebook page with different kind of complaints.

Bittersweet return to an old home
First time I stayed at this hotel was in 2008, when it was newly open. Until 2009, I would regularly stay in the hotel and I always enjoyed it. 8 years after, I return to spend my partner's anniversary at the hotel. Booking was easy and the hotel reservations was kind enough to send me an email to confirm what can be accomodated of my special requests. Check in was okay, though it took a bit long for them to give the keys. I couldnt figure it out since I was the only one checking in. Finally, we were checked in and were given room 334 - for a Jun 23 - 25 stay. The room was as how i remembered it. However, the sheets and blankets were so thin. The towels were thin too and honestly, they looked old. The wifi too in the room was slow. We could connect, yes, but we could barely surf. Second day came, in the middle of our sleep at 10 am, someone came knocking on our door to make up the room --> when we didnt request to have the room made up yet. First day breakfast had only a few choices. Second day breakfast had more choices. However, when the main dish got finished, it took sometime for it to be refilled. Lastly, check out was long. Though it was understandable since there were a lot of us checking out at the time. This is a real hobest feedback about my experience. However, I no longer complained as you have to take into consideration the amount you paid for the room. This is no 5 star hotel. Yes, DOT's rating of it being a 3 star hotel is accurate. Yet, fact of the matter is, I know they did and were doing their best.
