If you are after peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The hotel provides a shuttle service with a schedule so you can choose the times you wanted to go out for the night or for the day. The hotel’s nearby beach is the cleanest and calmest I found. There are no shops nearby so I would advise travellers to shop from the centre first to bring to the hotel. It has a homey feel and the building has a character. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They even provided a wheelchair for our elderly si she could enjoy the beach scenery during our stay.

Great family style resort. Staff is extremely catering and nice. Food is cooked to order and a decent variety of menu options available. Sheets were stained but other than that, the room and bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again!

Your Travel Guide to Boracay Island as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Boracay Island from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For convenient booking, book flight tickets through Traveloka and compare fares across major airlines.

For travelers coming from Manila, the most convenient way to reach Boracay Island is by air. Several airlines operate daily flights to Caticlan Airport (MPH), which is the closest airport to the island. Flight durations are typically around 1 hour and 15 minutes, with fares often ranging from PHP 3,000 to PHP 7,000 for a round trip, depending on the season and how far in advance you book flight tickets.

Alternatively, you can fly into Kalibo International Airport (KLO). Flights to Kalibo are sometimes cheaper, with fares potentially starting from PHP 2,500. However, the journey from Kalibo to Boracay Island involves a longer bus or van transfer to Caticlan Jetty Port, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. From Caticlan Jetty Port, you'll take a 15-minute boat ride to Boracay's Cagban Port.

For those traveling from other major Philippine cities like Cebu or Clark, direct flights to Caticlan or Kalibo are also available. If direct flights are not an option, you might need to connect through Manila. Bus travel is also an option for those on a tighter budget or coming from nearby provinces in Luzon, with various bus companies offering routes to Caticlan.

Best Time to Visit Boracay Island

The peak season for visiting Boracay Island generally runs from November to April, coinciding with the dry season. During these months, you can expect sunny skies, calm seas, and pleasant temperatures, making it ideal for beach activities and water sports. For a more relaxed and budget-friendly trip, consider visiting during the shoulder months, such as May or October, or during the green season from June to September. While the green season can bring occasional rain showers, these are often brief and followed by sunshine. The island is less crowded during these times, offering a more serene experience and often better deals on accommodations.

Food and Dining Near Boracay Island — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

A must-try is Kinilaw, the Filipino version of ceviche, featuring fresh raw fish marinated in vinegar, onions, ginger, and chili. You can find excellent versions at local eateries and seafood restaurants scattered across the island.

Another Filipino favorite you should seek out is La Paz Batchoy, a hearty noodle soup with pork, shrimp, and vegetables, originating from Iloilo. While Boracay is more known for seafood, finding a local carinderia that serves this comforting dish is a treat. For grilled delights, try the various seafood and meats available at beachfront barbecue stalls, especially during sunset.

Don't forget to sample Halo-Halo, the ultimate Filipino dessert. This refreshing mix of shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, and topped with leche flan and ube ice cream is perfect for cooling down on a hot day. Many restaurants and cafes offer their own unique take on this popular treat. For a taste of fresh seafood, head to D'Talipapa market where you can buy your catch of the day and have it cooked to your preference at a nearby restaurant.

The people working here were lovely and we were delighted to find out upon check in we had 5 free hours of massages. The property is a little bit dated but the value for money is incredible. The only downfall is that it is far from town and hard to get rides out to.

If you want peace and quiet, it's great, but you're somewhat isolated from the rest of the island. The restaurant should offer fresh fruit with breakfast, which is very limited selection. We used the laundry service, and everything white came back a shade of gray.

Arrived at the resort and the staff were very accommodating. The front-desk was helpful by mentioning what time breakfast was, when shuttles were provided to D-Mall/Station 2. They even called the e-trikes for us whenever we needed to travel outside of the shuttle times. The rooms were clean but you do need to ask for some items such as toilet paper, a comforter, and extra towels if necessary. Overall, great experience and the walk to one of the nicer and cleaner beaches on the island was only 5 minutes.

The people working here were lovely and we were delighted to find out upon check in we had 5 free hours of massages. The property is a little bit dated but the value for money is incredible. The only downfall is that it is far from town and hard to get rides out to.

Hotel was good but it’s far away which is nice if you like peace and quiet away from the business. No amenities like telephone in room or toothbrush. Nearby beach was excellent Overall, a good stay and I would stay there again.

They even provided a wheelchair for our elderly si she could enjoy the beach scenery during our stay.

i did not like anything about this property. The website is very inaccurate. The distance to the sea is 15 minutes walk. The vicinity is dirty. I do not recommend this area to anyone.

If you want peace and quiet, it's great, but you're somewhat isolated from the rest of the island. The restaurant should offer fresh fruit with breakfast, which is very limited selection. We used the laundry service, and everything white came back a shade of gray.

Great family style resort. Staff is extremely catering and nice. Food is cooked to order and a decent variety of menu options available. Sheets were stained but other than that, the room and bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again!

Far from the Station 2. Transportation (Shuttle schedule is limited) Suggestion: Add more time to transport people back and forth. Overall: I like the staff. They are very cordial.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was basic, no frills but comfortable and very clean. Very relaxed and comfortable surroundings with easy access (walking) to the beach.

It was away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd. If you want peace and relaxation this is the place to be. The road heading there needs improvement.

I love how the staff are so easy to talk to. They were also very helpful and considerate. There breakfast were also very good. But I would suggest to adjust the flavour of the chicken teriyaki. Overall, it was a very good experience. We love how peaceful the place is.

A wonderful stay! It is an Oasis. Away from the noise and nonsense but they offer a shuttle to DMall which is super convenient. Staff are friendly and wonderful and accommodating. The kitchen produced amazing home cooked meals! And there's a great beach just 5 minute's walk down the road. I would go back.
