A very good beach front location in station 1. All rooms are located in one building in front of the beach, unlike other hotels where only the expensive rooms are located at the beach front. The hotel's cheapest room, where I stayed, is smaller and with the same price you can get a bigger room in other hotels located in station 2 or 3. In fairness, the room is clean and comfy. The wifi speed is fast enough to be used for work. The room where I stayed is located beside the main road. The noise from outside is muffled enough except for the occasional horns of vans and buses. You might need to use earplugs for muffling out the outside noise more when sleeping. One thing I miss from the room is the electric kettle. I brought some tea with me to help with my insomnia but was a bit disappointed that I can't prepare them anytime I want. The location itself and the service provided, more than make up for the higher price. First, the location is beach front and in the better parts of White Beach. Second is the included breakfast. It's pretty hefty and can serve as a Brunch if you timed it just before 10AM. They serve from their own restaurant's menu plus they also serve some breakfast items from their sister company, the Sunny Side Cafe. Third, they also offer snacks and tea every 4PM in their guest lounge that overlooks the beach and is a perfect place to see the sunset without going out. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and makes your stay more relaxing.

This policy is common in many accommodations and is often in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests, particularly those with allergies.

Understanding this policy beforehand is essential to avoid any inconvenience upon arrival. If traveling with pets is a priority, you may need to consider other accommodation options on Boracay Island that specifically cater to pet owners. This ensures a smooth and stress-free trip for both you and your beloved animal companions.

Familiarizing yourself with the hotel's specific check-in requirements beforehand can streamline the process.

If you happen to arrive earlier than the 14:00 check-in time, it’s worth inquiring at the reception if an early check-in is possible, though it’s not guaranteed and depends on room availability. In such cases, the hotel’s luggage storage facility can be a lifesaver, allowing you to leave your bags securely while you start exploring the nearby beach or grab a bite to eat. This ensures you can make the most of your arrival day without delay.

For your departure, check-out is required before 12:00 noon. This standard check-out time allows the hotel staff ample time to prepare the rooms for incoming guests. Alternatively, you can utilize the luggage storage service to continue enjoying Boracay until it’s time to head to the port.

Your Travel Guide to Boracay Island as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Boracay Island from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

Traveling to Boracay Island from Manila typically involves a flight to either Caticlan Airport (MPH) or Kalibo International Airport (KLO). Flights to Caticlan are more convenient as it's closer to the jetty port, with fares often ranging from PHP 3,000 to PHP 7,000 depending on the season and booking time. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour. From Kalibo, you’ll need an additional 1.5 to 2-hour bus or van ride to reach the Caticlan Jetty Port. You can easily book flight tickets on Traveloka for competitive rates.

For travelers coming from other major Philippine cities like Cebu or Clark, direct flights to Caticlan or Kalibo are also available. If direct flights are not an option, you might need to connect through Manila. Bus travel is a more budget-friendly alternative for those coming from Luzon, with trips to Caticlan taking significantly longer, often 10-12 hours or more, and costing around PHP 1,500 to PHP 2,500. Driving your own vehicle is also possible, but requires careful planning of ferry schedules and road conditions.

Once you arrive at the Caticlan Jetty Port, you will purchase terminal and environmental fees, followed by a boat ride to Boracay's Cagban Port. The boat trip itself is short, around 15 minutes. From Cagban Port on Boracay Island, tricycles are readily available to take you to your accommodation, such as Seaworthy Boracay in Station 1. The total cost for the boat ride and port fees typically ranges from PHP 300 to PHP 500 per person, round trip.

Best Time to Visit Boracay Island

The ideal time to visit Boracay Island for most Filipino travelers is during the dry season, which generally runs from November to April. This period offers sunny skies, calm seas, and lower humidity, making it perfect for beach activities, swimming, and water sports. The peak months within this season are typically December to February, when the weather is at its best, but expect larger crowds and higher prices for accommodations and flights.

For those seeking a balance between good weather and fewer crowds, the shoulder months of November and March to April are excellent choices. You can still enjoy pleasant weather while experiencing a more relaxed atmosphere. The "amihan" season (northeast monsoon) from November to May brings cooler temperatures and calmer waters to the west coast beaches like White Beach, where Seaworthy Boracay is located.

The "habagat" season (southwest monsoon) from May to October brings stronger winds and occasional rainfall, which can sometimes lead to rougher seas and affect water activities. However, this period also sees fewer tourists and more affordable rates, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers who don't mind the possibility of occasional rain showers. It’s also a good time for windsurfing and kitesurfing on the island's eastern side.

Food and Dining Near Boracay Island — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

No trip to Boracay is complete without indulging in its diverse culinary scene, offering everything from fresh seafood to local Filipino favorites. A must-try is the Kinilaw, a Filipino ceviche made with raw fish marinated in vinegar, onions, ginger, and chili. You can find excellent versions at many beachfront restaurants, offering a refreshing taste of the sea.

Another local delight is the La Paz Batchoy, a hearty noodle soup originating from Iloilo, often found in more local eateries. Its rich broth, tender pork, and savory toppings make it a comforting and satisfying meal, especially after a long day under the sun. Don't forget to try the Chori Burger, a popular street food snack featuring a flavorful chorizo patty in a soft bun, perfect for a quick and tasty bite.

For seafood lovers, grilled fish and squid are abundant and usually cooked to perfection. Many restaurants offer a "paluto" service where you can select your fresh catch from the market and have it prepared according to your preference. Pair your meal with a side of garlic rice and a cold San Miguel beer for an authentic Filipino dining experience. Exploring the food stalls at D'Mall or along the beachfront will lead you to these delicious finds.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for Boracay Island

Boracay Island, while a tourist hotspot, retains a strong sense of local culture. Filipinos are known for their hospitality, so engaging with locals respectfully is always appreciated. It’s customary to greet elders with "po" and "opo" as a sign of respect. When visiting religious sites, dress modestly. Understanding and respecting these simple customs will enhance your interactions.

Safety is generally high in Boracay, but like any popular destination, it’s wise to be aware of your surroundings. Keep your valuables secure, especially in crowded areas like D'Mall. Avoid walking alone on deserted stretches of beach late at night. For emergencies, the local police hotline is usually available through your accommodation or by dialing 911. Staying informed about local advisories is always a good practice.

For a smoother trip, consider downloading a few essential apps. A reliable map application will help you navigate the island, while a currency converter can be useful for managing your budget. Ride-hailing apps might not be as prevalent as in major cities, but local transport apps or simply using the readily available tricycles is the norm. Having a communication app like WhatsApp or Messenger is also handy for staying in touch.

Our stay overall was great, the location of the hotel is fantastic, the 2nd level lounge has the best private views and the service was friendly. We booked partial view room (only availability at time of booking) and unfortunately there’s construction right in front of the balcony. Even though there’s no work during Holy Week but we didn’t feel comfortable keeping the clear glass door open to let light or fresh in as the construction is so close. We recommend to lower your expectation with the partial view room. However room quality is good, bed is comfortable, and it’s nice to have filter water in the jug replenished every day. Shower pressure needs to be improved. Breakfast consist of a main, fruit platter, coffee/tea, and juice. This was a fantastic start of the day included with the stay. Merienda 4-6pm was great, although we only enjoyed the first day as my husband got bad stomach on the 2nd day (from eating elsewhere), and due to Good Friday mass we didn’t return to the hotel until 5:30 and didn’t want to risk having food that’s been in the open for almost a couple of hours. Staff were excellent with welcome and guests services. Location is 5 star, with the beachfront directly outside the place. Towel and sand mat provided. This accommodation is beautifully presented with lots of passer by taking photo of it, especially the neon lit Hello Sailor sign. Be prepared to get photo taken without permission if you’re near the sign. Overall would recommend!

We had a very pleasant stay in Seaworthy. The room is so clean and has all what you need with modern design. The breakfast was nothing but amazingly delicious and you have a variety of options to choose from. The staff are a different level of attention, kindness and professionalism. We barely asked for anything since they know what they are doing and they provide you with everything you need. The hotel is literally on the beach. The beach here is so clean and relaxing. It’s convenient for you to walk in both directions of the beach (20mn) walk to get to your furthest point.

Seaworthy was WORTH my money! No joke! Very first impression upon arrival: It was a pretty new boutique hotel which was nicely decorated. They gave us welcome drinks and an indulgent treat- coconut ice cream topped with mangoes, rice crispies and sticky rice, and served in a real coconut shell. Upon reaching the room, I was welcomed by a personalized note regarding the hotel and a nice postcard to remind me of my stay. They provide guests with bedroom slippers and decent toiletries. Location-wise, it’s super convenient as it is beachfront. It is also accessible by e-tricycle. It also has nearby food establishments. Percy’s and Hello Sailor are located in the first floor of Seaworthy Boracay. Staff Service is 1000/100. I kept on commending how accommodating their staff was. From the moment we checked in up to our checkout, they were very dependable. I would also like to note that the staff named Shasha was beyond excellent in what she does! As we had an early morning flight the next day, she made sure that their kitchen prepared our packed breakfast the night before. On a daily basis Seaworthy fixes the rooms, provides their guests with chocolates and water. Our booking also came with free breakfast from either Percy’s or the Sunny Side Café, both restaurants offered very sumptuous meals! Prior to swimming, guests can borrow “banig” (woven) mats and towels from the front desk. Overall, we had a pleasurable stay. Booking this again!

Loved it here. Great choice if you want a small, boutique hotel. Service is great and cute touches like the arrival ice cream and daily merienda make it feel special. Nice decor and art around the hotel. Good sustainable touches like the refillable water bottle. I liked the location with a view to Willy's Rock, away from the main town but perfect length walk to get to DMall area. Amazing restaurant downstairs with discount at other sister restaurants (which were also amazing!).

Seaworthy Boracay is right in the hub of Boracay. We stayed in the Seaview room which has a balcony overlooking Willie’s Rock. What we liked, everything! The hotel is very small, has only 7 rooms. Service is impeccable . It is clean, comfortable, right in the middle of the Boracay vibe. And the view from our room- none better. Plus Percy’s Seafood restaurant is internationally rated as one of the very best Seafood restaurants in the Philippines. Their mud crab definitely a Michelin worthy contender. And you have to try cocoa mummas’ signature coconut ice cream dish. Right next door!
