Not so bad. It was a good getaway place. Not so far from the crowded area of white beach.

Best place at Puerto Galera
After my third stay - twice alone and once with my family (8 people) - I would like to give my very best recommendations of Sunset at Aninuan Beach Resort. The place is quiet even if it is right on the beach - and the resort is very well maintained. I have not met staff this friendly anywhere (I am traveling 100+ days per year), -they will be your friends. Service level is 5 star. Good snorkeling right off the beach. The place is great for families, that want an experience of pristine nature in quiet and comfortable accommodation. If you want party, -go for white beach.

We booked our rooms through Agoda and Expedia not directly with the resort, the correspondence from the resort was superb gave us all the options on how to get there from various places, so we got a bus from Alabang and used the shipping line they recommended arrived in Sabang and got a trike to the resort after I realized I did not confirm land transfer. When we arrived all was good until they showed us to the rooms, right on the beach, with a balcony, huge rooms but no fridge, old box tv and small shower with shower curtain, the reason we booked here was for those items being as we had seen on the Internet. We were told we had booked those rooms as deluxe, anyway to cut it short they showed us the rooms in the new building which was what we had seen on the Internet, when we asked if we could upgrade and how much it would be, Mark ,the owner told us we could have them at the same price, he didn't realize how much that meant to me as my partner was ready to turn around and go back. From that moment on our week there was amazing, the staff quickly got our bags and put them in the new room and could not do enough for us,we made sure we utilized the restaurant and bar everyday along with Mark, Lexie,Jackie and all of the staff we were made to feel like the family. Thank you all for making our visit unforgettable we will be back.xxxxx

Will always come back to Sunset at Aninuan
This was my 2nd visit to Sunset at Aninuan. The staff are amazing, friendly and courteous. The hotel is very comfortable, quiet and close to everything that you want. When you go there, you are like family and are treated extremely well. My wife and I will be back again and again.

1st Birthday back in the Philippines ❤️
I came here with my Uncle, aunts and cousins. I haven't been back HOME since I was 13 (now 26). We came here right on my birthday. This was such a beautiful place! The staff are amazing ! Rooms were spotless and the location was absolutely stunning. It's right on the beach and it's away from the big party crowd in White Beach. The food here is very expensive though. We ate here for lunch but we went to white beach for dinner. I wanted to taste and experience White beach. Overall, we had a great time and I will definitely come back!!

Worst Hotel on Puerto Galera I have ever used
This is my third visit to Peurto Galera. The Sunset Hotel was the worst of any hotel on that island that I have used. Our first room did not resemble the picture of the room we booked, and it smelled stale. We changed room and the second room was like that pictured on the website. The suite itself is spacious. The air conditioning struggled the entire three days we were there to keep the room cool. The balcony only had seating for one person while other balconies had hammocks and small tables. The metal banister around the balcony was so rusted and rotted in spots. One of the metal railings on the main steps going to be beach has completely rotted away. The bathroom linen did not smell fresh. The included breakfast is only for a Continental Breakfast. They did give us credit for the Continental Breakfast towards the breakfast we did order. But everything we ordered had a service charge. We ordered two cheeseburgers at the bar and the rolls were stale and the burgers were pressed extremely thin and then were rubbery and burned. There are no telephones in the rooms and there is no room service. The kitchen closes at 9 PM. Something had broken or burst in our refrigerator. The hotel never bothered to even wipe out the mess. There were rusted and brown rings from the other cans that sat in the spill in the bottom of the refrigerator. There is no Internet in the rooms, and the wireless at the bar did not work when we tried it. We ended up using a Globe Filipino mobile phone and mobile phone hotspot to get any Internet service within the room. The beach is not as shown. The water is clean. But the beach is full of small rocks and stones. This is not the type of beach you want to swimming in.
