Great little stay
I stayed here for a few days last October as a little scuba break from visiting family in Negros for 2 weeks. The resort is huge- in fact its too big. I wasn't a fan of the small area with animals on display, or the fact that the water bungalows are so far from the resort themselves. It would be impossible to flag down staff to bring you a drink. The beach wasn't high quality but I did notice staff cleaning up the swimming area (and I think its litter washing up on shore so not the fault of the resort). Diving was good. The dive staff were excellent. I did some fun dives whilst I treated my cousin to his Discover scuba which he loved. Dive equipment was in great condition. The restaurant was great and all the food was delicious- they do great pizza. The restaurant also looked great with their huge pinoy chandeliers. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall it was a pleasant stay however I couldn't help but feel lost in much a big disjoined resort. I'm sure if you travelled in a large group you would feel much better about the place, but seeing as we were only 2 people, I kind of wished we stayed somewhere smaller.

Great escape from noise, pollution, and technology.
The place is really relaxing. With its laid-back rooms, quiet environment, and beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset, you will surely fall in love with its beauty. The staff were very approachable and accommodating. They would really make you feel like you own the entire resort. There are some activities you may want to do during your stay. They have a table tennis and billiards table, 2 swimming pools (one inside where rooms are located and is only exclusive for checked-in guests and one which is available for all day-tour guests), they also have a watch tower where you can see the beautiful view of the entire resort and parts of the island from the top, and you might want to check out the small animals in their mini zoo. The food though is a little pricey considering the serving size. They don't have televisions inside their rooms and stable internet connection, which in my opinion, is better so that you can totally disconnect to technology and can really feel the serenity of the place.

Island Wonder
The resort is really good for scuba diving considering its vast marine protected area teeming with various sea life, divers would surely love what they can find out there. It's good that the German owner really spend much for the development of the resort. It's something in the island that tourists wouldn't want to miss. There's only one thing that really bothers me, and that's the entrance gate beside the cemetery. It should be relocated at the opposite side next to the barrier fence of its neighbor private property owned by a certain doctor. Maybe to some people, it would be okay but to me personally, seeing a cemetery spoils my mood for relaxation and fun because it reminds me of one of the real things in life. We go on vacation to forget our woes and get rejuvenated so total fun and relaxation must be achieved. But in general, the resort is well-managed and some improvements were made. I am quite happy that we have this resort in Sipaway. They have a mini zoo, life size chess board, a small library, a small museum, drinking bars and the front beach has very nice cottages. I love their indoor swimmingpooI but it's only limited to overnight guests. I just hope they would open it also to outside guests. I love the place and i'm sure the guests especially those into scuba diving has beautiful stories to tell about their experience in Sipaway as a nice diving spot and place of relaxation.

"What budget?"
I absolutely loved my 4 day stay here in Whispering Palms resort. With the beautiful ocean view, really nice rooms with air-con, bikes that are free for your use, and aesthetics of the palm covered grounds, I could almost give this place a 5 out of 5 rating. HOWEVER, I do not recommend coming here if you are traveling on a budget. This may be a biased opinion, because I myself like to travel to nice places and not spend much (That usually is because I give up the necessary comforts). If I wasn't such a stickler with price, I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone I know.

Prepare your $$$
Well, this is is not recommended if you're looking for something cheap. A high maintenance resort. Expensive. Like $$. Hahaha. Good thing when we're here is that we were in group. Of not, you'll spent about 3k (includes your room for an overnight stay, food and fare). However, you'll somehow forget how much you spent tho. Because the place is really nice. Not that crowded, a good place to unwind and relax. I recommend this for groups or couples.
