Whispering Palms Island Resort

Das Resort ist sehr schön und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr interessant sind auch immer die Gespräche mit dem deutschen Eigentümer gewesen. Wer einen weißen Sandstrand erwartet, ist hier leider fehl am Platze, auch wenn der Ausblick aufs Meer hier immer sehr schön war. Die Verpflegung ist gut, allerdings etwas teurer als es auf den Philippinen üblich ist. Die Küche stellt um 20:00 Uhr den Betrieb ein und die Bar ist bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet. Überrascht waren wir von dem recht teuren Wäscheservice mit 30 Peso pro Kleidungsstück. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts war das Internet nicht betriebsbereit. Und wurde immer gesagt, ein Techniker würde am nächsten Tag kommen. Das Resort-Management hatte jedoch komischerweise immer Anbindung ans Netz... Eine internetfähige SIM-Karte wurde uns auch nur gegen Bezahlung bereitgestellt. Das geht auch besser! Unbedingt erwähnenswert ist auch, dass das Resort keinerlei elektronische Zahlung akzeptiert, was mit der schlechten Internetverbindung begründet wurde. Man sollte also entweder ausreichend Bargeld (Peso, Euro oder US-Dollar) dabei haben oder einen Ausflug nach San Carlos einplanen, um Bargeld abzuheben oder zu wechseln.

Ein Aufenthalt im Gefängnis ist wahrscheinlich schöner! WIFI geht nicht, selbst für einen Pappbecher muss man bezahlen, Chips darf man auf der Terrasse und im Bungalow nicht essen Man wird erpresst, abgezockt, alles muss man bezahlen. Sogar ein Donwgrade des Zimmers wurde versucht uns unterzuschieben. Eine Flasche Wasser darf man nicht mitbringen!!!

My worst experience ever and a travel a lot for work and pleasure room not ready staff not interested shower no warm water we will repair tomorrow 😡😡no internet we have nobody to repair the place is outdated and the germans are loud and drink to much as everywhere in the world i left after 1 day i paid for 3 but no refund because i need internet for work when we left the internet was working so DONT GO THERE

This turned out to be very disappointing. I was looking forward to this resort out of all the places I was visiting in the Philippines. It turned out to be the worst. First, the room did not have A/C, no hot water and the bed was like a baby mattress! That’s just the beginning. They don’t take credit cards at the resort. The WiFi was terrible. I had to pay over $100 to get a room with A/C. The facilities were run down and out dated. The restaurant was nice but no A/C either. Felt like Castaway!! Hahaha. You are isolated so if you want to get away from everything, it’s for you. Be prepared for a sore back from the terrible mattress and horrible WiFi. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I was at Whisper Palms for a 4 week quiet vacation with my wife. This resort is in an isolated Island in the Philippines which was perfect for us

Die Betreuung ist wie immer hervorragend. Leute sehr freundlich, nie aufdringlich. Die Möbel könnten mal ersetzt werden.

The management maintain cleanliness of the resort.The food service is fast but a bit of expensive.Staff are very friendly and accomodating as well as the locals.What i like the most are the activities that are available for the family to enjoy ,to avoid boring ..The resorts amenities are good..But the only thing i don't like is the airconditioner on the number 14 room ..it doesn't work...my children are complaining because they are not comfortable because of the not working aircon. I hope you will fix this..But i'm highly recommended to my friends and relatives,,One of the best resort we've been stayed ..

Closes to early. Very quite ideal for families. No other aminities nearby. Excellent cheerful staff. No credit card access, no prior warning given!

It was a really good stay, but the check in time was different, Expedia listed check in at 11am but the actual check in time was 12pm, but the overall stay was very good 🙂

Great resort on a great island. The staff was very helpful. It is a really great place for families. The location, Sipaway Island, is an amazing place as well.

If you are used to pay w credit cards, forget this place. They don't accept them.. I had to make a boat trip n back to San Carlos to pick up some cash.. No ATM, no line on island..This is Philippines... Even one hour flight in the middle of Indian ocean, you can use cards ! And the paradox is that one does not use cash in resort.. no signature.. so when there is litigation it is a mess.. Staff is ok, except one person as pleasant as jail door when things don't go her way. Out of stock is common, mixed fruits the first day... and eggs the second day at breakfast...! Don't book the bungalow to expect more luxury : bungalow is only a 2 rooms space w living room. But it is standard comfort. Resort in the middle of nowhere. But bicycles are providedfor free. No nice beach and view is terrible at low tide. Snorkeling without interest in front of resort, no visibility and nothing to see. Disappointing...

Had an excellent time there. Very quiet and relaxing.

nice place, the only problem was that the public boat from San Carlos to Sipaway Island does not operate after 1600 h and the guys at the port asked for 700 peso for this 10 minute ride, which normally costs only 15 peso. When you arrive at the island you have to take a tricycle for 100 peso, that's OK. The resort is beautiful, nice staff, great bar, excellent food and not expensive. My room was with fan, which was OK it was not too hot. The WiFi was weak, sometimes I had no signal on the Globe mobile network, Can also rent bikes to explore the island. I will certainly come back.
