Always have been my favorite resort in Boracay since 2011. We booked the standard non beachfront but they were so kind to give me an upgrade. Rooms are comfy and always clean, the staff from reception, the restaurant, and security are always smiling and ready to help. It has a nice pool and an easy access to the station 1 beach. Will always recommend this resort to everyone and will keep coming back! A+ on everything!

The first time I went to Boracay was 7 years ago and we stayed in White House. To my surprise the hotel was well maintained, the bed is comfy with duvet cover. There's hot and cold shower and there's a balcony where you can hang your wet clothes / swimwear. The property is location in Station 1, Beachfront, the rooms are not beachfront though BUT it has direct beach access. The breakfast offers Filipino and American Menu, if you're into happy hour, this property has decent price for beer, snacks and good music. If you flight from Boracay is early, be sure to inform front desk if they can prepare a packed breakfast for you, as they start serving breakfast from 7am to 10am. Oh! there's no WiFi inside the room, you don't need it anyway! please enjoy Boracay and never miss the sunset! Its the best in the world

Location and How to Get to White House Beach Resort

Address and Getting There

You'll find White House Beach Resort located at Sitio Pinaongon, Beachfront Station 1, Boracay Island, Boracay, Aklan, Philippines. This address places you directly on the famous White Beach, specifically in the more serene and upscale Station 1 area. While Station 1 is known for its calmer ambiance and wider beachfront, it’s still conveniently close to the island’s central hubs, offering a pleasant blend of tranquility and accessibility.

The neighborhood is described as being "Around entertainment center," which might seem contradictory to Station 1's usual reputation. However, this likely means that while you are in a prime beachfront spot, the energy and activities of the central areas are not far away. You can easily walk or take a short tricycle ride to reach places with more nightlife and shopping, making your location versatile for different moods and plans.

Getting to Boracay Island typically involves flying into either Caticlan Airport (MPH) or Kalibo International Airport (KLO). From Caticlan, it's a short tricycle ride to the jetty port, followed by a 15-minute boat ride to Boracay. From Kalibo, the journey is longer, involving a bus or van ride to Caticlan Jetty Port. For seamless travel planning, consider using Traveloka to book flight tickets that best suit your schedule and budget.

Your Travel Guide to Boracay Island as a Filipino Traveler

How to Get to Boracay Island from Manila and Major Philippine Cities

For most Filipino travelers, flying is the most efficient way to reach Boracay Island. From Manila (MNL) and other major Philippine cities, you can book flights to either Caticlan Airport (MPH) or Kalibo International Airport (KLO). Airlines like Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia operate frequent flights. Flights to Caticlan are generally more expensive but much closer to the jetty port, taking about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Flights to Kalibo are often cheaper, with a travel time of around 1 hour and 30 minutes, but require a longer van or bus transfer (about 1.5 to 2 hours) to Caticlan Jetty Port.

The cost of flights can vary significantly depending on the season and how far in advance you book. Expect fares from Manila to Caticlan to range from PHP 3,000 to PHP 8,000 or more for a round trip, while flights to Kalibo might be PHP 2,500 to PHP 6,000. Always check for promotions and consider using Traveloka to book flight deals. Once you land, you'll need to take a tricycle to the Caticlan Jetty Port, pay terminal and environmental fees, and then board a boat to Boracay Island.

While less common for Boracay, land travel is an option for those coming from nearby provinces in Luzon or Visayas. This would involve a combination of bus rides and ferry crossings. For instance, from Manila, you could take a bus to Caticlan or Iloilo, then a ferry. This journey is considerably longer, often taking over 24 hours, and is best suited for budget-conscious travelers who have ample time.

Best Time to Visit Boracay Island

Boracay Island experiences two main seasons: the dry season (Amihan) and the wet season (Habagat). The dry season, typically from November to May, is considered the peak tourist season. During these months, the weather is generally sunny with calm seas and gentle breezes, making it ideal for beach activities, swimming, and water sports. The period between December and February is particularly popular, offering pleasant temperatures and low humidity.

The wet season, from June to October, is characterized by stronger winds and occasional rainfall. While you might encounter some rainy days, it doesn't mean your trip will be ruined. Often, the rain is intermittent, and you can still enjoy sunny periods. This season is also the off-peak period, meaning fewer crowds and potentially lower prices for accommodation and flights, offering a more relaxed atmosphere for your visit. For a balance of good weather and fewer crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder months of November or May.

Food and Dining Near Boracay Island — What Filipino Travelers Must Try

No trip to the Philippines is complete without indulging in its rich culinary heritage, and Boracay offers plenty of opportunities to do so. A must-try is Kinilaw, the Filipino version of ceviche, where fresh raw fish is marinated in vinegar, calamansi juice, onions, and ginger. It’s a refreshing appetizer that perfectly complements the tropical climate. You can find excellent versions at local eateries along White Beach.

Another Filipino favorite you should seek out is La Paz Batchoy, a hearty noodle soup made with pork, shrimp, and vegetables, often topped with crispy pork cracklings. It’s a comforting and flavorful dish, especially satisfying after a day of swimming. Many restaurants in D'Mall and Station 2 offer this local delicacy. For seafood lovers, grilled fresh catch is abundant. Look for stalls and restaurants offering freshly caught fish, squid, and prawns grilled to perfection.

Don't forget to try Halo-Halo for dessert, a popular Filipino mixed-dessert made with shaved ice, milk, sweet beans, fruits, jellies, and topped with leche flan and ube ice cream. It's the ultimate cool-down treat. For a more substantial meal, Adobo, the national dish of the Philippines, is widely available. Whether it's chicken or pork, the savory and tangy flavors of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns are a true taste of home.

When exploring dining options, consider restaurants like D'Talipapa, where you can buy fresh seafood and have it cooked to your preference at nearby paluto restaurants. This offers a unique and personalized dining experience. For more upscale dining, many resorts along Station 1 and Station 2 offer a diverse range of international and local cuisines.

Local Culture, Safety Tips, and Essential Apps for Boracay Island

Filipinos are known for their hospitality, and Boracay is no exception. Always greet locals with a smile and be respectful of their customs. While Boracay is generally safe, it's always wise to be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas. Keep your valuables secure and avoid walking alone in dimly lit areas late at night. The local police and tourist assistance centers are available for any help you might need.

In case of emergencies, know the local emergency numbers. It's also a good practice to inform your family or friends back home about your itinerary. When interacting with vendors, polite bargaining is acceptable in some markets, but always maintain a friendly demeanor. Respect the island's environmental regulations, such as proper waste disposal and avoiding smoking in non-designated areas.

To enhance your travel experience, consider downloading a few essential apps. A reliable map application like Google Maps is indispensable for navigating the island. For communication, messaging apps like WhatsApp or Messenger are widely used. If you plan on booking activities or tours on the go, having the Traveloka app handy will allow you to easily book attraction tickets and explore other services. A currency converter app can also be useful for managing your budget.

We checked in at 4pm but our room was not available yet. We were given a room after 20 minutes of waiting at the 3rd floor in a building that has no elevator, no view but only the roofs of the neighboring houses. I did not get this room on promo, mind you that's why I was expecting something better. Later that night, we requested a room downstairs when we saw that there are several rooms vacant on the ground floor. We transferred after being told that there is charge for the"upgrade". The upgraded room is bigger but has the same amenities as the one on rhe 3rd floor. The shower on the other hand had to be reset every time we used it because the heater stops heating whenever you turn it off and on. But we had to be wary of being electrocuted because there are electric wires around the water heater. Other than those problems the hotel is just average.

I booked at the White House hotel (in Station 2, Boracay) for my first trip to Boracay. My family and I were very excited and hoped that we chose an accommodating resort. We definitely chose wisely! There were three of us in a room and we were upgraded to the deluxe suite (1 queen bed, 1 twin) upon arrival. The hotel is one of the multiple that are along the beach front so heading to the water was just a skip away. The hotel bar and restaurant (Los Indios Bravos) were fantastic and had vegetarian options. Hotel staff were helpful, room was cleaned thoroughly over the weekend stay. Be warned that this is a tropical island. There are little bugs and some mosquitoes (both completely tolerable) and we had a little friendly lizard stop by on our last night. We will come back to this resort on our next trip to beautiful Boracay!

The island is in the middle of renovations, and the hotel is going through some also, the location is perfect and three beach it's on its 100% amazing. The service is really good. Too many staff really. The shower/wet room doesn't drain away, the floor wasn't designed correctly to do so, and the air conditioning unit was forced in one position with a piece of cardboard as it was broken. The bed was comfortable and linen was clean. Breakfast was good, evening meal menu was very limited. Our room #105 was on the other side of the road, and was a noisy location because of the roadworks going on. There's a pool but no room for a sun lounger round it, it's in the middle of the restaurant tables. I would come back once the island has finished updating , and I would upgrade my room to beach side for a bit more peace. Overall it is a lovely place, and it is working on the issues so it will get there, one day.

Relatively pleasant stay. But it was disturbing that the hotel which is in a beach do not provide free service/potable water while eating in their lounge or restaurant. They only have bottled water. I am wondering on what kind of water do they use with their beverages or with cooking food. Though their is two mineral water bottles inside the room these will not be sufficient when you're in a beach. It would have been better if they can provide purified water for guests to drink for free. This is the first time I have encountered that only bottled water is available for a fee. Shower does not have hot/warm water. Molds were evident on the sides of the tiles in the bath. Good that they have bidet and complete toiletries. Bed was okay, though was sort of unstable when you sit on the edge. Pillows and sheets were comfortable and soft.

Overall nice place. Lots of mosquitos hotel does t seem to spray for them. We stayed in the beach house and the kitchen area smelled then noticed cats seem to hang around and get in the area. Everything had a tax or resort fee. Happy hour drinks were good and cheap plus we were far enough away from all the loud music in station 2 made it nice. Pool was under maintenance and very small but right on the beach and very unpopulated. The beach bar was very nice and food quality was excellent but a bit pricy compared to the D mall area. The free breakfast was very good too. Overall not bad not sure if I would stay again though.

We had an awesome stay at White House. The room perfect, and the facilities of the cafe and bar were excellent. We especially appreciated the attention the staff gave us, from room service, to looking after us at the beach front bar, to helping us organise any activities. Special thank you to Kuya Ding, who made our stay that much more memorable.

This is an okay hotel. Pros: - Very helpful hotel staff - Has direct access to the beach - Awesome in-house restaurant (must try the kimchi fried rice and baby back ribs!) - Happy hour from 7am-7pm (drinks at P100 each) Cons: - Room is very bare - The queen sized bed is small for some reason - No water to shower with in the morning (had to wait until 10am!) - Wifi only available receptionist and restaurant Neutral: - Serves local food for breakfast, which I find very sour (this is my personal taste, experience might be different for others)

Everything was great. Room didn’t have hot water but it wasn’t an issue. A simple maintenance request would of resolved it.
