Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade

Excellent hotel with superb service, impecable cleanliness, confortable bed, spacious bathroom (hair dryer and slippers included) and great location. Would definitely stay again!

It’s a 5 star Hotel and I am an ALL member as well but to me and my family’s disappointment, we were checked in at 3:20 pm.We had come from Seville after a 6 hour long journey and we expected to be checked in on time. If you guys charge customers 150 euros for late check outs then you should also compensate your customers for late check in. This was not at all expected from A big brand like Sofitel. I

Was a stay for my birthday week in Lisboa and it was totally worth it. Welcome drink on arrival and staff was attentive. Sonia especially!! She made sure I had an amazing birthday.

Room climate was hot and barhroom wasn’t kept up very well.

The young concierge was very helpful and friendly. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast were not. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. I did not like having only a rain shower in the shower stall. There was a hand-held, but no where to hang it. It was literally a hand-held.

Mediocre hotel. Small rooms and bathroom. Rooms need upgrading, rug was worn out and had stains . Mattress was old and uncomfortable. Staff at breakfast were extremely rude and badly trained. All in all my assessment is that this hotel is in desperate need of a good manager that properly trains staff in customer service

Was alright. Staff was very friendly. Hotel overall comfortable. Good location. LOBBY smelled bad of sewage each time we walked through. Cockroach found in our room. Hotel overall needs an update. Not worth the cost and doesn’t live up to its brand.

Extremely disappointed with this hotel! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF YOU EXPECT 5 STAR SERVICE AND ACCOMMODATIONS! Upon walking into the hotel you’re hit with a smell of sewage. They attempt to cover it with air fresher that does not work. Then after receiving my room I see that they put me in 1 category lower then I originally booked. The manager tried to convince me that was not the case because I was on the higher floor, he said it was the category I had originally booked even though it was much and I mean MUCH smaller then my originally booking. He then proceeded to tell me that unfortunately the hotel was overbooked and there was no way to make a change. The only available option was the room for disabled individuals on a lower floor. After showing it to me I saw that this was indeed the size of room I had booked except for the accommodation in the restroom for a disabled individual. I agreed to accept this room only because we were traveling with 2 other couples. Otherwise I would’ve left this hotel and checked into a TRUE 5 star hotel with the accommodations and service that comes with it. To the manager, if you read this. Your feeble attempt at offering me a bottle of champagne and fruits thinking that would somehow makeup for this error is ridiculous.

Beautiful room with luxury amenities, and lots of space for toiletries in the bathroom and shelves to unpack your clothing. The location was in a very upscale part of town and we enjoyed walking the area. The best thing about our stay was the staff. From the check-in staff, the employees who functioned as concierge, the restaurant, white staff, the bartender. - everyone was amazing, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a special experience.

Truly a 5 star hotel! Such nice accommodating staff, very clean and great air conditioning! Only a 5 minute walk to rossio square and located by tons of shops and food places! Would definitely recommend staying here!!!

We had a family medical emergency. We had to cancel our trip the day we were to fly to Portugal and fly to New York City because our 40 year old son was found by his wife having seizures which he has never had before. It was discovered that he had a lemon sized tumor in his left frontal cortex. The tumor was just removed by the neurosurgeons. We did prepay for our Sofitel Hotel room as well as other hotels for our two week trip. Over half of the hotels were quite kind and understanding and gave us a full refund. Sixt car rental fully refunded our non-refundable car rental because of our situation. Needless to say our son and his family are much more impotent than a vacation. We have stayed at other Sofitel hotels over the years but will look elsewhere in the future because Sofitel would not refund any of our prepaid reservation. I believe in karma.
