The facilities at the resort are great, couldn't fault them. The room looked dated and we couldn't sleep for the stiffling heat, even with the window open and the fan on. We ate in the bar when we arrived and the plates the food came on were too small for the portion, making it awkward to eat.

Plenty of parking. Very unfriendly welcome. Family rooms are across the other side of the hotel from reception so bring bags with wheels. Received all the info about works being done and staff training AFTER our stay, which was very unhelpful. Very understaffed reception, think the boss walked past a few times when there was a queue of 3 of us waiting for 20 minutes. Ridiculous wait time for such a short queue, it was much larger when I left and staff didnt even acknowledge or apologise to anyone waiting. The room was basic, with paper thin walls. I could hear my neighbour using the toilet in detail, full conversations and every slight movement. Not ideal when kids are trying to sleep or not great for your neighbour when your kids are making normal kid noise. Lovely area, lots to do but very disappointing

Big shout out to Ross the receptionist very helpful and professional! Room nice however the rainfall shower didn't have a head - very odd. Buffet dinner very poor quality. Breakfast staff are abrupt asked for some cutlery and when I returned to the table it was left in a pile. The mixed berries fruit was frozen. The table the coffee machine stands on is uneven so when the buttons are pushed the machine moves. Haggis is like slips! Bar area lovely and staff friendly.

The staff at reception were extremely nice and breakfast was amazing, but the cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable (hair on the floor and in the shower). Other than that, the hotel is great for kids as it has a lot of fun amenities.

Overall the hotel itself was nice with lots of amenities if you're traveling with kids. However, at the same time the hotel doesn't have a clear niche. While pictures and amenities display it for kids atmosphere within the main hotel is quite different. Lobby/bar area was always over crowded with drinking adults. We even repeatedly had drunk adults knocking on our room door whilst trying to find their own. Additionally reception was terrible; waited 45 minutes to be checked in as there was only one receptionist & they placed priority on arriving travel buses rather than guest who had been waiting.

Rooms are for sleeping as staying in them any longer not too appealing. Clean but basic; tired and small. Restaurant was more modern making it a nice place to sit and sample some rather good food. Swimming pool and sauna serves its purpose well. Lounge areas comfortable and inviting; a good place to sit if you can’t bare the bedrooms. Great location for Main Street, shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Also, great location to explore the Cairngorms with an abundance of activities to participate in if you choose. Room not serviced. Bedding never changed after 3 days there. Had to request new towels and toilet paper. Staff helpful in this regard but wouldn’t expect you room to be cleaned or serviced. No real concerns. Good enough; reflective of the price you pay. All in all would stay there again.

Room was abit disappointing. Not very clean, mugs and spoons in the room dirty. The check in process was 25+ minute wait. We were looking forward to using the pool during our stay, to find out it was closed for a big chunk of the day and didn’t reopen until 15.30. By then we would have been travelling back home. I didn’t quite understand why the pool would be closed bang in the middle of the day during the weekend. Quite disappointed in the overall stay for the Money we paid. We won’t be back.

The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The rooms were well maintained, although they felt slightly dated in terms of decor. One improvement I would strongly suggest is installing soft-close door mechanisms, as the doors tend to slam loudly. Unfortunately, one guest on my floor repeatedly let their door slam early in the morning (between 6 and 8 am), which was quite disruptive.
