The Shandwick Inn

We stayed in a chalet type hut, outside the Inn. It was very cold, when we arrived. We put the heaters on and it did warm up. It was ok but i didn't feel , it was the conventional hotel room, we were anticipating. Continental breakfast delivered at 7pm was good.

Good location for NC500, food popular with locals.

Excellent room, comfy beds, quiet - even though it was a busy Friday night. Good pub food. A great, convenient place for an overnight stay.

Great accommodation in a very handy location. Room and bathroom very spacious. Food in the Inn, is excellent. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Continental Breakfast is brought to your room early morning, really good selection, all kept nicely chilled. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Accommodation in the small "bothy"-type house is not up to standard, the bathroom requires refurbishing. Breakfast - although adequate in this form - was served in a paper bag left in front of the door. Everything was clean and tidy. The outside could be landscaped to make it more friendly. The food in the hotel was good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast turned out to be a food in a bag left outside your room. Decor shabby and dated

Staff were attentive & obliging. Food was honest & plenty of it. Rooms were clean, but very worn. Shower didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush, no breakfast facilities, only a bag delivered to room. Only decaf coffee in room & no cutlery provided to eat the breakfast.

Great spot to stay for travels around the North 500. We had everything we needed for a good night sleep, breakfast in the morning, and dinner and drinks in the bar.

A lovely old pub with good facilities great food choice, and the staff were very welcoming and proficient.

Excellent menu with great service.

Stayed in a small cottage on site. Terrible smell in room. Extractor fan and vanity light not working. Bed frame too small for 6ft husband. Good great tho!
