Room was modern and clean; dinner in the pub was very good. Continental breakfast left outside room was comprehensive and ideal for an early start.

It was odd that they leave breakfast at your door the night before in a bag. This includes yogurt, we chose not to eat the yogurt since it could not be refrigerated.

Went to check in. Staff asked for name then took key and took us to the room. Then left without any explanation or instructions. So poor communication when checking in. When checking in we stood at bar next to the radio which was very loud and I am deaf and couldn't hear or understand the staff. Staff rushed to the room before we got to bottom of the stairs. Stairs are very steep and wonky which is very dangerous but not good for people who are unsteady on their feet. Room: Big room and big bathroom Bed very low and uncomfortable to sleep on. Wicker chairs in the room are so uncomfortable and feels like it ready to collapsed (should be in garden not bedroom!) Curtain doesn't fit or covered the window so the sun shines through the gaps. Wardrobe wonky sits on a piece of wood on the front. Above the bed the chip wood wallpaper is peeling off due to dampness. If sleeping on 1 side of the bed then tall people has to watch thier head due to the roof slope as thier no warning. Find that the kettle and TV next to each other dangerous as no room to do anything and the heat from kettle not good being close to TV. Bathroom is lovely but glass shelf is in wrong place as id you have a wash or brush teeth at the sink you hit the shelf with your head. And in bathroom there lots of crack in the wall. Breakfast not very good as never been explained on booking or at restaurant until we asked a member of staff. Which found out it a pack lunch but it at door overnight. Due no staff staysover

Great stay at the Shandwick. It was no-frills but ticked all the boxes; clean, warm, comfortable, convenient and safe. I can recommend it for an overnight stay. My party did not eat at the hotel.

Gutes Essen im Restaurant, Frühstück per Tüte,..... ein paar Kleinigkeiten, Orangensaft, Obst u.a., für uns ausreichend und OK. Zimmer sauber und alles nötige für uns vorhanden.

We were Not !! Told we were in a chalet cottage, it didn't advertise cottage either it was dark dingy and uncomfortable. The continued breakfast was stale croissants and the orange juice the bottle was black. There were no 24hr staff either

We stayed in a chalet type hut, outside the Inn. It was very cold, when we arrived. We put the heaters on and it did warm up. It was ok but i didn't feel , it was the conventional hotel room, we were anticipating. Continental breakfast delivered at 7pm was good.

Good location for NC500, food popular with locals.

Erg vriendelijke bediening, avondeten was geweldig! Kamer gedateerd. Dat is niet erg maar smal bed van 1.40 is niet meer van deze tijd. Ontbijt in papieren zak aan de deur. Erg ongezond , elke dag croissant ,banaan ,suikeryoghurt en mueslireep. Max 1 nacht en dan gauw weer verder.

Excellent room, comfy beds, quiet - even though it was a busy Friday night. Good pub food. A great, convenient place for an overnight stay.

Spacious room, clean, friendly staff. Little disapointing that there was only continental breakfast in a bag (tasty but no full Scottish breakfast), but everything was ok

Great accommodation in a very handy location. Room and bathroom very spacious. Food in the Inn, is excellent. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Continental Breakfast is brought to your room early morning, really good selection, all kept nicely chilled. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Perfect for overnight stay. Staff very welcoming, excellent evening meal, and continental breakfast.

Stayed in the little cottage attached to the Inn, very cosy and comfortable with everything you need, meal at the Inn was excellent

Accommodation in the small "bothy"-type house is not up to standard, the bathroom requires refurbishing. Breakfast - although adequate in this form - was served in a paper bag left in front of the door. Everything was clean and tidy. The outside could be landscaped to make it more friendly. The food in the hotel was good and the staff very friendly and helpful.
