Andong Hotel

Room was different from my reservation, but they forced me to pay additional charge for the room I reserved. I had to wait to use hot water for twenty minutes. The worst hotel I have ever stayed.

Very little warm water but otherwise very comfortable and convenient for the town center on foot and for buses to the bus/train terminal and nearby sites.

The bed was very firm, like no give but I still slept well. Had to call for checkin which was a challenge due to international phone number shenanigans. But the staff were excellent, hotel was clean, and the location was amazing. Also the bathrooms are full wetrooms and that was a bit of a surprise!

Excellent location. Staff friendly, but very little English. Easy navigation from train station. Decor is a bit weird, but not objectionable. I will probably stay here when I return to Andong in future. I was quite happy. Nearby ice cream place, Achgara, is amazing!

Slightly old-ish place. The person at the reception was really helpful, making the booking for a jjim dak place for us (and the jjim dak place was not mentioned in social media but a great place nevertheless). Provided various tips about famous places nearby. The high street / mall is right next to the hotel and the traditional market and jjim dak street very close by.

I'm sure this hotel is at a different address/location than show on map, and would have been a nice place but Looking for refund. I used a korean GPS, Waze and Google maps. All 3 went to address on website and could not find hotel. I called to get directions. Ad says speaks engkish but only korean. Ended up getting another hotel. I have a large truck. Ad says RV, bus, truck parking. There is no way a RV could even get to area where gps/street location is at. Area is walking street only area with extreamy narrow side roads. Im use to that living in korea but no way an RV or person towing goes through.

Nice hotel in the middle of town. At one end of a pedestrian mall.

The Andong Hotel is a Grand Dame indeed but still has charm. The room has all the amenities, i.e., nice tv, toiletries, fridge etc. The beds are quite firm but I didn't find that a problem. The bathroom (and the room itself) were very clean of not a bit dated. The staff were excellent and did everything in their power to make sure you were comfortable. There is free Internet but I found it difficult to connect at times - try the other room numbers when hooking up. Laundry is available for 10,000 Won for one load, wash and dry. It's a 10 minute walk from the train station and very easy to find - there's a tourist information booth just outside the station as well to show you the way. It's very close to the market (where I highly recommend you try the Andong chicken) and all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

I was greeted by first name and check in was quick. As others have said the decor is interesting and dated. The room is clean and had a large TV. The bed is one of the hardest I have encountered in Korea but they also had the most comfortable pillows. They didn't seem to have any large towels, but they do supply numerous hand towels. The hotel is in a great location for shopping and restaurants. It is also walking distance from the train station.

Good value for money. Walking distance to market, place to shop & eat. Little English speaking staff but friendly.

Great staff. Don't speak much English but that's expected in this part of Korea. Right in the middle of Andong. I loved Andong because it's such a traditional town and isn't so Americanized or Modernized like Seoul. Beds wer hard. But that's the Korean way lol. Wifi worked great: got to make sure you put your key in the key slot by the door for everything to work. Hotel is easy to find. Just show KOREAN address to taxi driver. They don't understand Romanized (English characters) in that city either. But yea. I enjoyed it. For reference : I am a solo traveler 28 yr old female from America.

my group was delayed a day but when we made it to Andong the rooms were still available. water and coffee was available in the room every day. The double room was alittle small but then we only slept there.

hotel is a bit old but the hotel location is good. right at downtown, few min walk to train station and also buses that bring you to all tourist attraction.

I was able to ride the city buses to all the sites I wanted to see. There was an information booth close by that helped me a lot. I liked the friendliness of Andong very much.

This hotel is a nice centrally located hotel within a short walking distance of both the train station and buses departing for Hahoe Folk Village and Dosan Seowan Academy which are the two must see sights in the area. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities.
