Amazing place, feels like home, spacious common areas, equipped kitchen, friendly host!

shawn was really nice, and I love the neighborhood. it’s really close to hongdae, by foot or via bus. The place is also close to a lot of shops.

I had a lot of fun while staying at Apple tree. Emmy took a really good care of me, coco always played with me after I got back, the room was clean tidy and really warm!!! and comfortable!! the only thing is the way when you walk from Mangwon station or bus stop to the guesthouse is a lil bit dark but still I love this place! Would love to go back!

It was a great memory to sleep here. So confortable and Shawn (the manager) is so helpful. What a great vacay I had!

Close to Mangwon subway station and easy to go to Hongdae (just 3600₩ By taxi) nice place for people who hate busy location. Nice manager. Not many rooms so you can feel like home. I'll be back for sure. I recommended to used airport limousine bue No. 6002 and stop at Hapjeing station and take taxi to Guest House.

Positives: The owner was polite, and this guesthouse is a short hop from Itaewon. They are also dog-friendly. Negatives: The owner wasn't there to check us in, which wouldn't be an issue except that despite the hostel listing free parking we had to illegally park in an apartment's lot across the street until he could come meet us. When we finally got to our room, there was a cooking class being held in the common area, which we weren't told about. So instead of being able to relax after a hard day's travel, we got to lie there listening to a loud Korean TV show and *very* loud Korean conversation. The bedroom's walls are paper-thin; be prepared to hear every footstep. The bed itself is rock-hard, as are the pillows. Fortunately everything was clean. The website didn't list that the bathroom would be shared, which wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't literally just a toilet and a shower nozzle attached to the sink. If anyone else in the building uses a faucet while you're showering, your water pressure and temperature drop to zero. What would have been an enjoyable ten-minute showered turned into a hour-long battle of wills. The ceiling in the bathroom is moldy as well. TL;DR I've backpacked through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines. Somehow, every hostel I've stayed at along the way has been better than this one. However, the owner is polite and the hostel is pet-friendly and close to Itaewon.

As the name implies, the Apple Tree Guest House, is a big, comfy, home style house that accommodates their guests into their rooms. Far from being a hotel, it serves you with a warm welcome, a home felling and cool atmosphere. The rooms are nice and clean, showers could be improved, kitchen and living rooms are spacious and convenient. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the crowds in a chilling environment.

Would not recommend for young females who are traveling alone for the first time, the living space is rather small and as a result, shared spaces are cramped. I found privacy to be lacking. In addition, people who are afraid of dogs should know that is one.

A wonderful visit. Shawn's place made us feel like we were at home. The guesthouse was clean and he provided toast for breakfast. Theres an on-site laundry facility and two restrooms. Whenever we had questions or simply needed him to help us order food, he met our expectations! Thank you Shawn.

The location was very good, Near mangwon station , can walk to Hongdae and not many guesthouse or hotel around there so that place was very calm. Nice manager and feel like home.

the owner was friendly and kind even though we didnt stay in the hotel much but he still care about our beings when we stay and he would contact you before you arrive to make sure you know how to get there. He is super helpful.

I stayed for 5 days 4 nights in the Apple Tree Guest House with my bf and other couple. The manager, Shawn is really kind and helpful. We felt at home during these few days.The room was clean and nice. the double room is actually got other single bed, so can fix three person. but the room space is not enough to put if u have big luaggage. the small problem is shared bathroom. not very convenient for me cause you have to change cloth inside the toilet. location: is nearby mangwon station! please remember to print out the home address with Korea words, easy to show the taxi driver if he dont know how to go.

host was nice, location was good. showers didnt seem super clean tho.

Apple tree guesthouse is a very homely place to stay, so cosy and comfortable even if its not brand new or high design. With Shawns care it feels like staying at a friends place. He provides whatever info or help needed. We very much enjoyed our 4 day stay and would recommend anyone that's going to Seoul to stay here! Area is calm and has some great budget places to eat.

Shawn was fantastic. He was very helpful and a great host. Market was very close to the guesthouse as was the subway station.

Shawn was a very lovely host, had a great time! The house is very cute and facilities are good.

As we only stay for one night for the transfer, it is worth the price. Just that the water heater at the show room was a bit "out-of-control" as it is either super cold and super hot.

처음이 찾기 어렵지 한번 찾아서 방문하면 위치가 너무 좋고 주택가라 조용합니다. 방안에 이불이나 기타 시설도 낡았지만 깨끗하게 관리되고 있었습니다

チェックインの際にオーナーがいらっしゃいませんでした。 ゲストハウスに入るのにも苦労し、なんとか入るも部屋がどれかわからず困りました。 翌日になってもメールもLINEも来ないので、メールを送りました。その後LINEを通して電話がかかり、事情があって連絡が取れなかったと言われましたが、私がメールするまでLINEにもメールにも返信がなかったのは困りました。
