New Blanc Central Myeongdong

New Blanc was clean and quiet, and the staff were kind and communicative. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the subway line too, so it was a great location for our stay.

New Blanc Central Myeongdong opened December, 2024 so place is very clean and modern. Check in counter is on the second floor lobby which is nicely decorated. Their rooms are fairly small, so do check the size of the rooms before you pick the room for booking. The Cosy Double, the cheapest and smallest room, is only "118" sq ft and next level is Standard King, which is "151" sq ft. I am a solo traveler and booked Superior King which is "172" sq ft. I think even Superior King will be tight for two people. For the comparison the cheapest and smallest room at other boutique hotels in Seoul are around 226 sq ft and priced a little higher than rooms at New Blanc Central. The area the hotel is located in is one subway stop away from bustling Myung-dong so the area is very quiet and safe. My room was quiet and bed was cosy. My Superior King room is good enough size for one person but there is no closet to put my stuff away. There are hooks with hangers on the wall but those are not enough to unpack your luggage. In the shower there are shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. You have to bring your own "body lotion" and "shower cap" etc. Overall I like this hotel even though rooms are small. My main focus to choose a hotel was reasonable price, cleanness and modern style. This hotel is stylish boutique hotel.

Property was great, super conveniently located! Staff was friendly and we appreciated Thomas, the general manager. The only thing we wish we had were hotel conveniences like washcloth or extra towels because the hotel doesn’t provide an extra amenities at all. You get one towel in the room per person and no additional amenities unless you want to pay for them from a vending machine. Overall, it was great!

Our flight arrived early, and we got to the hotel around 8 AM. While I had requested early check-in in advance, we were told no rooms were available and that there would be a fee if one became open. Standard check-in is at 3 PM, though we were advised to return around 2 PM. The staff held our luggage, which was helpful. When we finally got into our room, it was noticeably different from the photos shown during booking—somewhat disappointing. That said, over the next few days, the staff became more approachable and helpful when we had questions. The hotel is quite far from the attractions listed online—what’s advertised as a 10-minute walk usually takes closer to 30. Still, the property itself is clean, and the area is quiet, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a decent stay. A bit more warmth from the staff at the start would’ve gone a long way, but we might consider staying again for the peaceful location.

Too small space

Brand new hotel in a central and quiet location 20 mins walking to the heart of Myeongdong. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, however the rooms are tiny and there is no room to put your stuff - including your suitcase. We are two people and we were not able to open 1 suitcase because there was no space. There is only one cubby for you to put your clothes in, so you cannot unpack if you wanted to and they could also add a few hangers in the bathroom - there is no where to put your stuff in the bathroom or hang your towels other than on the shower door.

Lovely clean hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. 15 minute walk to the street food in central Myeongdong and on 5 minutes walk from the subway. Room was a little on the small side with very little storage but a massive TV, but still comfortable, clean and well maintained. Great value for the price. Would recommend

The staff was great, very helpful. Most spoke decent English. Rooms are clean, a bit small but very comfortable. There's a very nice lounge area on the 18th floor and an outdoor lounge area on the 19th floor with a great view. There's a 24/hr 7-11 right around the corner so it's easy to get late night snacks and drinks. There's many shopping areas and places to eat within walking distance. The front desk will call a taxi for you if you need one. The airport bus drop off at pickup is just across the street. We stayed at two other hotels around this area(due to flight delays) and this was by far our favorite hotel. J. Gaitan

Enjoyed our stay here - the hotel seems to be brand new (the rooftop lounge is still under construction) so the rooms and lobby etc all seemed to be in pristine condition. Also really good to have a king bed, even though it made an already tiny room even smaller. We genuinely struggled to find enough space for our luggage to be laid out - ultimately worth the tradeoff I guess, but a little more space would have made it perfect. The hotel is pretty well located - somewhat on the edge of Myongdong, so it's a bit of a trek to visit the markets and such, but on the plus side, it's walking distance to metro stations on 3 different lines and the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It was also only a short cab ride from Seoul Station, which made it convenient for the Airport express and KTX trains. Another minor criticism is the new self-check-in system they introduced. QR codes on the lifts and passcodes for the room locks are all very high-tech, but a simple key card still feels much simpler to use. And making guests enter all the check-in data manually felt tedious, especially since the booking number I had wasn't recognised and needed staff to manually intervene anyway) That said, it wouldn't stop us staying there again

Room was extremely small. At least 20 mins away from myeongdong. Does not even have 1 extra pillow in the whole hotel!

Very nice hotel. Easy check in and check out process. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Facilities were very nice. Would stay again during my next visit to Seoul. The only issue was the room didn’t have any closet space to put clothes so finding space for suitcases and clothes can be a challenge if you have a lot of things.

Had a lovely stay. Room was great. Took ages to get to the hotel from the airport in the morning due to traffic and we were unable to have an early check in, so we had to wait until 3pm to get into our room after a very long journey. We were inconvenienced when we were unable to get the shuttle back to the airport during early hours and the trains didn’t run until later than we needed, so had to pay for a private taxi which wasn’t cheap. Other than transfers, this was an ideal stay.

The hotel is very close to Euljiro4 station. Your route to everywhere in Seoul. There is also a lot of restaurants, shops, and historical options within a 15 minutes walk. The housekeeping staff is unbelievably good. There is a digital system for do not disturb/please make up room, they strictly adhere. If you leave and take off so not disturb, seemingly at any time, they will still clean your room! It was the most accommodating system Ive ever been a part of. The front desk staff is very professional and helpful. I had a missing package delivery and wasn’t able to properly communicate the issue on account of language barriers. That said, they helped navigate me to a successful solution. 1 for free laundry machines 1 for shared kitchen Breakfast isn’t normal in Korea and can be hard to find. I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast on offer at the hotel, not because it was bad but because it was expensive and a weird mix of offerings. Highly recommend this hotel and would return.

Found this property whilst searching for a package holiday and as it had a really good rating I booked it. It did the job for the what we needed but a few bits to mention. The rooms are very small, smaller than a previous hotel I stayed in South Korea. Moving around the room was tight due to hardly any space between the beds and there was no wardrobe in the room which was a struggle as they only had a few hangers to hang clothes up. There was no real space to put the suitcases as the room was so small so they fit under the TV. Hotel fridges are usually small but the fridge was tiny. Could barely fit anything in it. The rooms were clean though and the pillow was the comfiest pillow I have used. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as it wasn’t included when I booked the room and we just used the hotel as a base. The hotel had a self service system where they have a room in the basement to iron your clothes and where they have washing machines which you can use. I prefer just putting clothes that need washing in a bag and paying to get them washed so that was disappointing. In conclusion, the hotel was ok but I personally would not stay here again as the rooms were too small, no clothes washing service, having to do it myself was not something I wanted to do on holiday. It was close to two subway stations to get to where we needed. Whilst it is in myeongdong, it is not too close to the main shopping area in myeongdong.

I loveeee this hotel so much! I definitely see myself booking again here if I ever visit Seoul again! Not only the hotel was very nice, clean and at a great central location where there are a lot of shops and transportation around, but the staffs were absolutely lovely, kind and super helpful! I was a solo female traveller so of course I feel a bit anxious at some time (but not all the time because I know Korea is a safe country, you just need to be mindful of your surroundings), the hotel made me very safe and at ease the whole stay. I love how comfy my bed was!! ❤️🇰🇷 till next time!

This place is A LOT smaller than the pictures they posted. Keep that in mind when booking a room!

No slippers, no tooth brush, no closet and the cost too expensive.

New Blanc Front Desk Staff Members are great.I want to communicate to Travelers about their excellent customers service and helping us make our stay better and enjoyable. I will recommend this hotel as they far exceed expectations. They even have electricity outlets for American and Euro style to help charger your devices.

I really may stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and assisted in any request you need from umbrellas to a need of taxi rides. I will make sure I come back to this hotel
