Travelodge Myeongdong City Hall

I stayed in 3 different rooms over my time (from personal stay to tour group rooms). The shower was great in the first room, but kept falling off the hook or spraying everywhere in the next two rooms. The floor was also carpet in only one of the rooms. For cleanliness, I appreciated the laminate flooring more and wish they were all like that.

Great location. Quiet side street. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

Great location, City centre train station just a few minutes walk. A 15 minute walk to Meyong-dong walking street for the night time street food, shopping and people watching. The only issue was the ‘hot’ items were always cold until the last morning of my stay. It’s almost like the hot plates were not turned on. I was there for breakfast as soon as the restaurant opened so it’s not like the food had been sitting around for long. For a budget hotel I thought it was great value in a suburb location.

Really convenient place to stay. It’s basic but you get what you pay for and it was good value got money for city Center accommodation.

I booked at this location because it was central to everything and uptown. It was close to the two main subway lines that can take you anywhere. It’s close to the Myeong-dong market. There are two 7/11 stores near this hotel to pick up refreshments. This hotel also has a WOWPASS machine, which is excellent if you want a combo prepaid debit/T-money card. Staff was friendly and room AC was godsend. It is a bit noisy in the hallway, especially for those coming home late. I would stay at this hotel again.

Very average hotel. We stayed 5 nights they only clean the room once and towels changed just 1 time. Lundry was out of order for 3 days and every day staff were telling us it would be fix today and it never did.we had to take all our dirty clothing to the our next stop.

E xcellent breakfast. Windows opened; huge plus Excellent location Excellent air conditioner. Room rug was horrible, very dirty with large stains. Lots of marks on the walls, needs new paint really bad. Very friendly staff.

Overall, our stay with Travelodge was great! The hotel was accessible to transportation and easy walk to shopping areas. Breakfast was also great!

Location was great - we had easy access to most places - staff were friendliness took eas great although air conditioning wasn’t working well !

Had a nice stay. The only complaint is the AC is not strong enough and you can’t adjust it. If the weather is hotter, it would be unbearable.

I love it

Staff at the front desk provide excellent customer service and very friendly. I was due to check out as had booked independently for one night before then staying for a 3 further nights as part of a group tour, as I was happy with my room they checked me straight back in and I was able to leave my stuff in my room. Room and bathroom clean, bed very comfy. Good size room for either one or two people. Also have luggage storage area if you have to go away and come back as part of a guided tour and it’s all free. Very impressed.

Clean and comfortable

1. The room was not clean. We saw the same dirty spots when we checked-in and throughout our stay. There was dust everywhere especially the bathroom (toilet tank, behind the toilet tank, bathroom mirror). No toiletries or coffee packs were replishened until we asked the front desk to do so. 2. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. 3. Air conditioning was not on when the temperature was in the mid 70s farenheit. The front desk said it is not Spring; isn't April considered a Spring month? 4. We found hair in one of the trays in the breakfast buffet. It was brought to the staff's attention and all they did was remove it from the tray and still continue to serve it as if nothing happened. GROSS!! 5. Only one key card was given until we asked to provide a spare one. 6. Not enough washing and drying machine on premise. Another guest removed all of our clothes from the washing machine when we came downstairs to put in the dryer. We were only a couple minutes late to retrieve our items... It is so incredibly rude!

The property is conveniently located close to Myeongdong market, City Hall and within 1 mile of Seoul Station. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the room was a tad small for the 3 of us. Manageable, though. My only complaint was the AC and refrigerator were turned off because it was April and the weather was still cold (off even on warm days). We had to have front desk store our refrigerated items.
