1881 Madrid Ventas Hotel

The front desk staff is very helpful, including to those with limited Spanish. We had a very early morning arrival (around 6am) so I booked a room for the evening prior and emailed our arrival details. The room was ready when we arrived so we were able to catch a nap before exploring Madrid. The room was very clean and the location is excellent - there is a mini-mart across the street, the #5 Metro line is a block away, and there are a variety of eating options nearby. The buffet is a great value and everyone is incredibly friendly. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Madrid!!

Rooms were very warm when it was 15C outside and no air conditioning. Only way to cool down was window open on a very busy street. Otherwise, this was just as advertised and a great location.

I lost my car and all my possessions while I was checking in. The people working there helped me tremendously. The only disadvantage was some had very little English. Thank them for helping me.

Este hotel se ha convertido en nuestro punto de partida y cierre preferido para viajar por Europa, y ya con toda confianza puedo decir que es nuestra opción favorita. Como siempre, organizo mi reseña en tres aspectos clave: A. Ubicación: A solo 15 minutos del aeropuerto de Madrid en Uber (unos €20), este hotel ofrece también excelentes conexiones en transporte público. La estación de metro El Carmen está a pasos, y Ventas queda a 5 minutos caminando. Desde ahí se llega fácilmente a cualquier punto turístico. Ideal si viajás con poco equipaje o querés ahorrar. B. Servicio: Aquí se siente la diferencia. El trato es siempre amable, sin importar el turno. Nos encontramos con Silvia, una colaboradora excepcional, que nos orientó con calidez al inicio y final de nuestro viaje. Su atención fue tan especial que hasta otro empleado la reconoció solo con nuestra descripción: “Debe ser Silvia, ella es un amor”. Ese tipo de personas te hacen sentir como en casa. C. Relación precio/calidad: Habitaciones amplias, silenciosas, con camas cómodas y todos los detalles que uno agradece: gym pequeño pero funcional, servicio de guarda de maletas (€3/día), restaurante/bar, buena ubicación y muchas cafeterías alrededor. Todo por un precio justo que no compromete el resto del viaje. En resumen: una joya en Madrid, ideal para arrancar o cerrar tu travesía sin sorpresas. Front of house team are like robots, no attention to customers on check-in, no explanation on hotel, no explanation of how to get to the room. Housekeeping good, rooms clean.

Wonderful stay ! The staff gave me a warm welcome and procured an early check-in ( very appreciated after an over night flight) . The breakfast is very good and very good service. Special mention to Cecilia at the front desk for her help.
